Hillary can thank Republicans for her win last night after all the radio talk show hosts told them to cross over and vote for her since McCain had it sewed up......Exit polls showed that over 10% of Hillarys vote was by Republicans........

I would not be so happy about that. The latest polls show Clinton ahead of Obama.

Rasmussen Tracking 03/01 - 03/04:
Clinton: 48%
Obama: 43%

Gallup Tracking 03/02 - 03/04:
Clinton: 48%
Obama: 44%

RealClearPolitics - Election 2008

Now that we know McCain is the GOP nominee, people are taking a second look at Obama and his lack of experience.

Obama supporters want "change"? You got it.

Was that a "real" help?

It is a story of a tired donkey carrying gold in two heavy bags walking miles and miles. It was a fly over his head the whole trip. The fly saw the donkey with the weaked legs almost falling to the floor and flew away saying: "I will help you a lot flying out of you so you will have less weight to carry."

The donkey looked at the fly and said: "Thanks a lot Mr. elephant!":doh

Ten percent Republican vote for Hillay.......I think it helped..........

And do you call that "democracy"...the will of the people?

I thought that in a democratic election people go to elect their candidate over the challenger ones, not so to use their "rights" to manipulate the electoral system.

If Republicans do that in the electoral process, just imagine what they -the Republicans in power- will do to you later on...

I have a flash for you.......Both parties do it.............

Hmm...Republicans having some fears about Obama getting the nod? Sounds that way.

Obviously - McCain will most likely be the nominee. :(

If that isn't Dem manipulation to get Hillary in office, I am unsure what is...

I truly believe they would rather face Hillary........I know I would.

Ya think?

Lets see, O'reilly had an invited called Laura Ingraham today in his program. She looks like one of those women who cares about nothing.

This woman I think has a radio program.

For her, it is part of democracy to see the voters to follow a radio speaker or a party leader telling them to manipulate the elections.

If she is allright, then the electoral manipulations of Fidel Castro for many years were also allright, the manipulations of Putin in Russia are excellent democratic examples, the kiling of a challenger in Pakistan is the most extraordinary demonstration of an intention to manipulate elections in that country.

In other words, she practically is a complete ignorant of why democracy was created for.

Amanzingly, O'reilly is against this kind of manipulations. First time I seem to agree with this guy.

But, about the current events in thiese elections, sheeesss! if to win the elections means to be nasty, negative against the challenger, to do dirty tactics to win more votes, then...go ahead, let the monster to be your president...you deserve it :doh

As I've said before...

Any republican that went out, because their primary was all but locked up, and voted specifically for the Democrat they'd rather have in the office if the democrat was to win....that's fine.

Any republican that went out, because their primary was all but locked up, and voted specifically for the Democrat they thought would be easier to beat is playing dirty politics, but I don't think are "tampering with an election" or "Rigging" it as that implies some for of illegality, which isn't the case...their exercising their democratic right to place a vote. And while I think the reasoning behind their vote is a bit dirty, I don't put it nearly on the level of Rigging Voting machines/threatening people into a vote/physically tampering with the actual votes of people/etc.

What I DO find funny...

Is many of the same pundits that just 1 month ago were going on and on about how irrevelant talk radio is, how it has no power anymore, how it means nothing any more...are now bemoaning the power of talk radio and how they used it in ill means.

Yeah in fact today and Obama supporter called Hillary a monster............You want to bet in private that Hillary has called Obama much worse then that.....

I am not saying its right but both parties do it...If you want to stop it you have to stop people from crossing over and voting in the other primary..You would have to be registered a democrat to vote in their primary..........

I fully agree. If you have a system set up specifically to allow those that are not part of your party to vote in the primary you can't really get THAT upset when they do just that, as you have the option of making it a cosed one if you so wish.

I also agree...I don't doubt in my mind that in 4 years, if the democrats win in 08, that when it comes time for Republican Primaries, and if its a close race, that some registered democrats will be voting for the guy they think will be easier to beat. They won't be getting it out there to do it by talk radio...instead some collumnists or blogs will put out the idea, and then the media will report "Look what these people are saying! Gosh, who'd have thunk ::hint hint, nudge nudge::"

Ten percent Republican vote for Hillay.......I think it helped..........

It's because even when you consider the folks that make up the Republican party these days, even 10% of them are smart enough to figure out who the best candidate for president is.

You don't get it......They voted for her because they would rather face her then Obama and they want to keep the democratic race going......

Uh, gee thanks for straightening me out, NP

:rofl

Ahhh, but the majority of crossovers didn't vote for Clinton in Texas.

According to an exit poll, with a sample of more than 2,000 voters across Texas 9% of those who voted in the Texas Democratic primary identified themselves as Republican. Results...Obama 53%...Clinton 46%.
Independents or 'others' split 49% to 48% for Obama, virtual tie.

Then, figure in the Republicans that would rather have Clinton or Obama as President , rather than McCain, so they're now voting FOR their choice.

As an extra, added bonus, those dittohead Republicans that foolishly listened to rightwing 'personalities', have now FORFEITED their right to vote in Republican primary runoffs, one of which involves Ol' Hot Tub Tom Delays formers HOR seat, that currently belongs to a Democrat...LOL...Cons are funny...funny cons.

I truly believe they would rather face Hillary........I know I would.

Actually, I think it is quite the opposite. I completely fear a Clinton run. She will win.

Here is why...

We already know who/what Clinton is. It would be *hard* to do a smear campaign against here. There is no "swift boating" her. Whitewater is history. Saying she used to be an evil non-emotional bitch changing into this happy go lucky *everyone's mom* smile - is only helping her.

Obama on the other hand is realistically unknown and very capable of being hit hard by "swift boat" maneuvers through his occasional drug use, his enigmatic charisma (Southern Christians claiming Antichrist) and the several accusations of homosexuality.

If you really want McCain to win, you should be praying it is against Obama.

I disagree, Hillary has so many skeletons in the closet......She is hated by the right and even by a lot of moderates and independents.........Her likability rating has never reached 50%.......A poll was taken recently and 48% of the people polled so they would never vote for her under any circumstance.......That is a huge obstacle to overvcome.........I listen to a lot of democrats on talk radio and they say that if Obama does not win they will vote for McCain........

I don't think it will matter though as I believe its a done deal and Obama will win the nomination...........

Navy hasn't even mentioned the 1500 pages that are redacted from the Clinton White House including the pardons the Rodham brothers bought. ;)

I'm not surprised. I think Hillary has a significantly worse chance of beating McCain in the general election than Obama. Heck, I know I'm backing McCain if Hillary gets the democratic nomination.

She's a polarizing figure, to be sure. In the most recent polls I've seen, he consistently beats her by more than he beats Obama. Exampe;
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a mid-term election.

Obama is hardly invincible to right-wing attacks, but I'm sure that Hillary is the Republican's first choice of a nominee. It would probably solve any turnout problems McCain might face from disenchanted social conservatives.

That will all come out in the wash if she is the nominee.....Its should be fun.......
