Republican Voters Against Trump
You can view the testimonies from GOPers who have finally had enough of Trump, from 45 states (plus D.C.):
Barring another successful intervention campaign from his friends in Russia, Trump will lose in historic fashion. And America and the entire western world will celebrate.
But I fully anticipate that Trump will claim "rigged election" and refuse to leave the White House voluntarily.
I wonder about this. Remember all the hullabaloo about the Never Trumpers back in 2016, well 88% of Republicans voted for Trump, 89% of Democrats for Hillary. According to the latest YouGov poll, question 59, 88% of Republicans plan on voting for Trump, the same as in 2016. 91% of Democrats plan on voting for Biden, up 2 from 2016. With an MOE of plus or minus 3 points, we're basically looking at the same percentage of Republicans and Democrats voting for their candidate as they did in 2016.

If one keeps track of these things, it's the independents where the big change has taken place. Remember back in 2016 46% of independents voted for Trump, 42 for Hillary Clinton, 12% voted for third party candidates, against both Trump and Clinton.

Then we began to see independents changing their voting habits in 2018, no Hillary on the ballot to save Trump. Independents voted for the Democratic Congressional candidates 54-42 over the GOP congressional candidates. A swing of plus 12 from Hillary's 42 and a minus 4 from Trump's 46. A total swing of 16 points in the Democrats favor.
Exit Polls 2018
Today, according to the YouGov poll of 14 July 2020, 44% of independents plan on voting for Biden, 35% for Trump, 10% for other or third party candidates with the remaining undecided, not sure. That's a swing of 13 points in Biden's, the democrat's favor from 2016. This is where your difference is, independents. Not with Republicans. Forget your Republican Never Trumpers and forget these Republican voters against Trump. Neither amount to a hill of beans outside of sounding good on political sites like this one.
Pay attention to independents. Independents gave Trump the White House, independents seem set on getting him out. At least as of the moment. independents gave Trump his razor thin win in Wisconsin by voting for him 50-40 over Hillary, in Pennsylvania by going for Trump 48-41 and in Michigan, 52-35 over Hillary. All lead to Trump winning those states by a few thousand votes.
Remember as of today, independents make up 40% of the electorate. What percentage did Never Trumpers or Republicans against Trump make up? Maybe 1 percent, 2 percent, maybe? Democrats today make up 31% of the electorate, Republicans 25%. Those numbers alone are enough to show one and all that paying attention to independents is much more important than paying attention to Republicans and Democrats let alone Never Trumpers and Republicans against Trump. They'll decide nothing, ah, but independents, they'll decide the winner.
