Removing a president for what they "might" do in the future would've been foolish

We've heard things about this today and similar for that matter for weeks and even months:

1) If Donald Trump is not removed from office he'll cheat again in the 2020 election.
2) If Donald Trump is not removed from office he will be completely unchecked and unrestrained as long as he remains in office.

Prior to that at various times we've heard that.

1) If Donald Trump loses his race for reelection he'll start a war (some said a nuclear war) out of spite.
2) If Donald Trump is not removed from office he'll become a dictator.
3) If Donald Trump is not removed from office he'll refuse to leave office at the end of his term.
4) If Donald Trump is not removed from office he'll make one of his kids the next president.

ENOUGH!!!

I know that the impeachment and removal process is not the equivalent of a criminal trial but it is close enough to point out that in the United States we DO NOT convict someone of a crime because the MIGHT commit other crimes in the future.

In the United States, justice is reactive, not proactive.

So enough already!
 
Yep, that "logic" is reserved for "red flag" laws to help prevent possible future "gun crime". ;)
 
Trump extorted a foreign President with approved military aid for fake news of personal value. One entity benefited more than Trump, even with no investigation ever occurring by any organization in any country. That's Russia. If he could, I suppose Trump would have announced a complete withdrawal from Ukraine like Syria.

You don't hear these things in vacuum. You hear these things because they fit his pattern of behavior.

Mueller investigation did not have enough of an effect, so he upped his game from just asking for help (in case of Russia) in exchange for future friendly policy to actually blackmailing a nation like Ukraine.

Russia did not benefit any because the approved military aid to Ukraine was delivered without delay.
