You can thank the last Governor Ralph Northam for cutting back DMV hours, staffing, and creating a backlog of work for the DMV staff.

And by the way..................it hasn't & won't stop a single person from voting.

“All affected voters have been able to vote,” the department said. “Any voter with information that needs to be updated can register and vote up to and including Election Day under Virginia’s same day voter registration law.”

It takes about 1 minute to register, and you can register while in line on voting day. Virginia waiting lines are pretty darned good in most precincts, and then there is a mad rush after working hours. The voters who are in line can still vote after the official closing time.
