Are you ready for Senator Cindy Sheehan?Cindy Sheehan May Challenge Calif. Senator
By IAN JAMES Associated Press Writer January 29, 2006, 1:05 AM EST
CARACAS, Venezuela -- Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist who set up camp near President Bush's Texas ranch last summer, said Saturday she is considering running against Sen. Dianne Feinstein to protest what she called the California lawmaker's support for the war in Iraq.
"She voted for the war. She continues to vote for the funding. She won't call for an immediate withdrawal of the troops," Sheehan told The Associated Press in an interview while attending the World Social Forum in Venezuela along with thousands of other anti-war and anti-globalization activists.

And why is that.Originally posted by Kandahar:
Not gonna happen.
What's up with the Jew hate, 'ole buddy.Originally posted by Harshaw:
She's a stark raving nut, so that fits California.
And hey, if she spouts her Jew-hatred on the Senate floor, maybe some of the radical Islamists will respect us?

What did she say about the nation of Israel?Originally posted by Harshaw:
That's my question to her. She's spouted a lot of it.
Me, I've never once in my life understood the hair in the ass that some people have over Jews. I can no more comprehend it than I can imagine what it's like being dead.
But Cindy can. All I'm saying is that she has kindred spirits elsewhere in the world.
That sounds like American love, not Jew hate.Originally posted by Harshaw:
"My son joined the army to protect America, not Israel."
Then snowballed from there.
Now, we know the thought processes required to get from point A to that statement, so . . .
Israel is capable of protecting themselves.Originally posted by Harshaw:
Do I really have to take you through it?
To arrive at that statement -- that her son died in Iraq protecting Israel -- she has to believe that the US policy is beholden to Israel. And why would that be? Because of Jews (ahem, Neocons) in the Administration conspiring to protect Israel. 'Coz, you know, those Jews, they conspire to do things like that, or so George Rockwell said.
And hey! She scored points with David Duke over it!

I know you're not dumb. And you know that she has said a lot more things about Iraq than that.Originally posted by Harshaw:
I fully agree. But I'm not the one who says we're there protecting Israel, now, am I?

I agree. She's perfect. She's a real trailblazer, a rising star. Move over, Obama. Here comes Cindy! :lol:Navy Pride said:I voted yes..........I think she would fit right in the democratic party.......

As for the rhetorec in terms of the Israel issue, it works like this:
Arab strategists create rhetorec tailored to leftist sensibilities, seizing upon framing techiques in such a way as to either draw parallels to issues the left is known to support or else to achieve an emotional reaction via the specific choice of words (such as "apartheid", etc) . This rhetorec is intellectualized by the likes of Noam Chomsky whereupon it is channeled through Universities and repeated by the various Juan Coles and Ward Churchills, or else simplified into buzz phrases and channeled through various terrorist support groups like the ISM and the PSM. These "solidarity" groups overlap considerably with groups such as the Socialist Workers Party, International A.N.S.W.E.R. and an umbrella group called "United For Peace and Justice".
The latter is most likely signifigant here, because Ms. Sheehan has been known to show up wearing UFPJ logos, and ANSWER is the biggest organizer within the antiwar movement. The demonization of Israel is just all part of the general program and repeated as dogma. Tough to say how much personal animosity she feels towards Jews, or how much of this rhetorec she really comprehends. It has become so de rigueur for the authoritarian left to spout this stuff that it's anybody's guess.
Oh, and to comment on the thread topic -- no, I would not vote for her.
Even if I were still living in the state where I have spent the majority of my life.
When it comes to Cindy, I don't think it was very accurate at all.Originally posted by Deegan:
Well said, and almost frightening in it's accuracy

Yes I will. President Sheehan has a nice ring to it.Originally posted by Navy Pride:
Billo my friend, will you be voting for Cindy?

If Nelson Mandella can do it, so can Cindy.
