Ray Liotta (1 Viewer)

The problem with people is they only remember seeing Ray Liotta as Henry Hill in Goodfellas and figure he should still look this way. The film is over 20 years old.
Ray is now in his sixties(around 63). Don't expect him or anyone looking the same as they did twenty years ago.
I've seen the commercial and he looks fine. When you quit smoking you will gain weight. Sometimes weight gain and change of complexion is due to aging. It happens to all of us.

I remember him when he started out on the soap, Another World as Joey Perrini...cute as a button, he was...just a kid...24...

I don’t know how old you are, but when people get to a certain age, they gauge themselves against what they have experienced in the way of movies they have seen or music/musicians and how they age. We are all heading for the exits....

Ray Liotta always reminded me of Tony Curtis......

He was born Dec. 18 1954 so he'll be 64 his BD...yeah, age changes us all...

To me, he will always be fresh faced Shoeless Joe Jackson who walks out of that cornfield.

He looks okay for an old dude .... who looks like he had had a little "work" done. Not too bad.

That was a good role. I learned to love him in Corrina, Corrina. Never saw his mob guy work.

My favorite Ray Liotta role was when he played Tommy Vercetti.

my favorite Liotta movies :

Goodfellas
The Rat Pack (awesome. if you haven't seen this one, check it out :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rat_Pack_(film))
Field of Dreams

For me, Goodfellas is simply a stylized retelling of the story of people in Long Island who I saw every single summer as a kid.
If you watch the movie Goodfellas, you're looking at the neighborhoods I was in every summer.
Those guys looked like people I saw all the time.
Of course, AS A KID, I had NO IDEA what they were, which is why it's so hilarious when my cousins and I talk about our childhood.
We talk about this stuff and the old farts will say something like:

"You know that restaurant you always wanted to go to as a little kid, Sid's Golden Dome...right there after the Atlantic Beach Bridge on Bay Boulevard? Wanna know why never went in there? It was a MOB hangout...WE COULDN'T go in there because we weren't recognized. Those guys you used to see walking outta there and gettin in their Cadillacs, those were the mob guys and you just don't walk up and start talking to guys like that, they'd just as soon shoot you as look at you."

At the foot of the Atlantic
Beach Bridge unmistakably identifiable
by its architectural trademark
stands Sid & Jean Fordin's
popular Golden Dome Restaurant.

However, for really fine gourmet
eating you will have to pass
through the Lounge and into the
lovely Boom-Boom Room. Here
only the handsome pink, red and
gold decor - rivals the beautiful
food served on your plate. Dinner
Is served Wednesday thru
Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m.
on. Saturday evenings there is
usually name entertainment and
reservations are suggested .
Other nights there- is delightful
piano music to add to your dining
pleasure.

The Fordins excel at making
your small Intimate parties (less
than 100 people) a memorable
event. The next one you plan
give some thought to, leaving it
In their very capable hands.
All in all Sid's Golden Dome is
"the place'* you must try- and
very soon. You'll love it! Oh yes,
they are closed on Mondays and
Tuesdays.

Heh heh, don't believe it for a second...they weren't actually closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
That's when their primary clientele came in from Queens, to get away from their wives.
In the movie, it's represented as "The Bamboo Lounge".

Sid's was immortalized in Henry Hill's book, "A Goodfella's Guide to New York".

Well, in Ray's case it appears to be plastic surgery. He's not Donetella Versace level... but he should have aged gracefully.

I agree...he literally looks plastic these days...

About the same age is Andy Garcia (early sixties as well) and he is taking roles that are age appropriate. He looks pretty good.

He was playing Diane Keaton's love interest in his last movie....he was pretty hot. (Book Club)

But yeah, Ray looks like he has had some work done. I wish folks would stop it...or at least learn when to stop. Especially with the plump lips thing. So many look deformed. It gives me the creeps when people glow over the lip plumping to their face - then behind her back they give the OMG face.

Yeah, that stupid coffee commercial with George Clooney. That smooth voice of Andy's is history.

Oh....I kind of like his voice now. ;)

I agree to a point, but you can see what years of smoking has done to not only his features but his voice.
