Rand Paul (R) on Newsmax (pretty much) calls bullshit on Trump just killing people in a boat. Says what if they were fleeing/etc.

Look, we all know Trump did this to distract from the Epstein survivors press conference but here's his argument.

I'm of the mind that 'OUR' laws apply to our citizens or those who are here legally.

I don't believe trafficking drugs carries a death sentence, and these people got no due process and were not engaging US forces. Given the sideshow we've seen in immigration cases and how badly this administration has been botching things up, there is no way I trust it to carry these kind of attacks unilaterally.

Ok, which should make this attack even worse because it's not in the US nor its territorial waters, nor are the people on the boat US citizens.

Don't get pissy because I said something on another thread. I'm absolutely have a right to an opinion and I expressed it and what I believe the law should be. I didn't say it was that way.
You don't like it, move on. You don't need to tell me I'm not well educated on something. What's your cred? Are you a law scholar or lawyer?

Indeed, and it's based on past offenses etc. but we have no idea who any of these people were nor did they get any kind of due process. I don't think any government targeting people this way is a smart approach.

I'm not sure how I feel about the US essentially killing people like this.

When Obama did it in Yemen, I had mixed feelings. A leader of ISSIS operating in Yemen is a threat to the US and our allies. These terrorists operate in these areas and manage stuff in other countries. It's a tough situation to deal with, but even those killings I was on the fence about.

Drug dealers is not the same as a ISSIS leader. I don't even trust this administration to get anything right. Remember when we obliterated Iran nuclear facilities but in reality, it set them back a couple of months? We bombed another country for almost zero strategic gain.

And what Rand Paul is saying is how do any of us know who they truly were and if the boat was right off our Coast we would arrest them and not blow them up.

But the good news for the Trump Administration is dead men tell no tales (like if they were really fleeing a dictator).

Do you wonder how an open boat filled with so called drugs and 11 people is going to go all the way from Venezuela to the US without refueling and going through hurricane season on both coasts? I find it hard to believe that this is what the trump administration says it was.

Just as I say about democrats. Trump Russian Collusion was a fabrication and based on that and the lies to the FISA court and other things, I never believe anything the democrats are saying. Democrats love the phrase, "your Truth". That's just an invitation to tell a lie. No such thing as "your truth"! There is just "the truth"!!!!!!!!!!
An uncharted boat speeding to the U.S. that looks suspicious. I think before a strike that some verification was done and the strike wasn't decided upon by only the person who pressed the button to fire. All the drug problems in this country, that we know are coming from foriegn sources, and you are more worried about the people in the boat who are most likely drug runners, than you are about the thousands who will die from the drugs they were carrying.
Strong borders, and no exceptions to the law.

I think it's a very bad idea and have been against it except for situations where targets engage US forces in the process of apprehending them. That the administration classified Tren de Aragua as a terrorist organization already makes much of this ridiculous. Fighting drug use in this manner doesn't change much on the ground since there will always be another group to fill the demand gap assuming one can be effectively closed. The comedy here is this administration's Big Budget Bomb reduces access to drug rehab here via Medicaid.

Do you have proof that the target was not verified?

There has been no verifiable proof, except "the boat has 4 motors, which drug runners typically use".
Trump claimed it was a drug boat.
He lies daily. I wouldn't trust anything he says.
