It's too bad you can't place yourself into the shoes of another. Someone that sunk their savings into a small business that had to shut down due to Fauci policies supported by democrats. How do you think they are doing now?

Is a business more important than killing citizens? We already have the highest death rate in the advanced world because of the poor response by trump and the GOP to Covid? Hospitals were overrun with Covid cases and people weren't without ventilators, even with the quarantine, Can you imagine what would have happened with the quarantine? Covid19 isn't going to go away just because you because the Qanon nonsense that it's some democratic plot.



BTW, Is this your idea of being pro-life?

Why don't you compare Florida and some of these other red states to the blue states that closed small businesses?
Florida's numbers are less than a lot of blue states. How is Florida's economy?
Why did the blue politicians punish small businesses in favor of the Home Depot, Target, Walmart and other big retail stores?
How many nursing home patient's did Florida kill compared to NYS, CT, MI, PA and NJ?

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that the Florida Department of Health had commenced an inquiry into the state’s reporting of COVID-19 deaths, after Governor Ron DeSantis suggested that the official reports overstate the number of deaths. According to the report, Governor DeSantis and members of his staff repeatedly questioned the accuracy of the COVID-19 death rates, with his press secretary Fred Piccolo Jr. tweeting: "we can tell you definitively that Florida is counting deaths that were not directly caused by COVID-19.” Mr. Piccolo has also sought to downplay the COVID-19 pandemic in other ways. On one occasion, he erroneously tweeted: “we had one COVID death in Florida yesterday . . yes you read that right. One.” In fact, on the day in question, there were 47 deaths.
Data from the Centers for Disease Control and other independent public health experts suggest that Florida’s total death toll from the pandemic is actually understated. Experts noted that Governor DeSantis’ administration has used a COVID-19 infection rate that gives “more weight to negative test” results, and thus skews the results. Governor DeSantis has used the skewed rate to justify reopening schools and businesses. In response to criticism, Mr. Piccolo denied that Governor was attempting to question the official death toll, stating “[n]o one in the administration is trying to cast doubt on the number of COVID deaths, we are trying to get to the facts.”

You must be concerned about the 100,000 death each year due to fentanyl poisoning. Therefore you must agree we need to close the border.

You must also be concerned about the increased suicides due to blue state policies. You know the people least at risk for dying of covid.
About 70% of all US COVID-19 deaths are to age 70 years or above, somewhat above the 64% for normal mortality.
Aren't you glad we saved these young people from Covid, oh no but we lost them to suicide.

Fentanyl is coming from China, not Mexico. Do you plan to shut all of the ports on the west coast, plus many on the east coast whose ships transit there by way of the Panama canal? A month ago conservatives were blaming Biden for the backup of ships at the west coast ports, but now you want to close the same ports. Hypocrite much?

The idea of closing the Mexican border only appears to xenophobes who need someone to blame their lack of success on.

Arguably, Fauci helped to bring about the Ukraine invasion.

Because Fauci stupidly got China's govt-run Wuhan lab to research (ie. invent) COVID, then it had the chance to escape that lab and cause a pandemic, which caused Xi Jinping to panic and fear for his job, which caused him to crack down on HongKong and make military provocations against nearly all of his neighbors, which cause Taiwan to really want to separate from China even harder than before, which then provoked even more aggressive behavior from Xi & China, which got US, Taiwan and other allies to push back harder at Xi & China, which caused Xi to turn toward Putin in frustration by going for a quid pro quo where Xi backs Putin in invading Ukraine in exchange for reciprocal help from Russia for when China invades Taiwan later.

If Fauci hadn't gotten such a bee in his bonnet about doing banned research in China to get around US bans, then 4.5 million people wouldn't have died around the world, and Ukraine wouldn't have been invaded either. And we may still yet have WW3. Talk about massive Butterfly Effect.

We already have the flipside of this thread from the right talking about this idea with support, I'll say here what I roughly said there.

We should all sit back and watch who is supporting this effort and why when the ultimate result of Paul's efforts will be more governance and more oversight.
