Just give Putin everything he wants, that's all.

Hmm… that seems a bit like the Obama/Biden solution to the Russian occupation of Ukrainian territory in 2014.
Ramaswamy is not going to be a candidate much longer.

I forgot he even was a candidate.
The occupation of Crimea did not lead to a war. I'm sure if Ukraine went to war over that action the Obama Administration would've supported them with arms/aid.![]()
In early 2014, the Euromaidan protests led to the Revolution of Dignity and the ousting of Ukraine's pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych. Shortly after, pro-Russian unrest erupted in eastern and southern Ukraine. Simultaneously, unmarked Russian troopsmoved into Ukraine's Crimea and took over government buildings, strategic sites and infrastructure. Russia soon annexed Crimea after a highly-disputed referendum. In April 2014, armed pro-Russian separatists seized government buildings in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region and proclaimed the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) as independent states, starting the Donbas war. The separatists received considerable but covert support from Russia, and Ukrainian attempts to fully retake separatist-held areas failed. Although Russia denied involvement, Russian troops took part in the fighting. In February 2015, Russia and Ukraine signed the Minsk II agreements to end the conflict, but the agreements were never fully implemented in the years that followed. The Donbas war settled into a violent but static conflict between Ukraine and Russian proxies, with many brief ceasefires but no lasting peace and few changes in territorial control.

Call it whatever you want. Russia and Ukraine were not yet directly engaged in all-out war. I think there is definitely some warranted criticism of the Obama Administration in how it handled that event, but to compare that to what Ramaswamy proposes? There is no comparison.
Sure there is: letting Russia keep Ukrainian territory allowed (encouraged?) them to take more of it later.
What would your 2014 Crimea "solution" have been?
The price of a ham hock is lower than the price of a ham, yet paying either lets you own that cut of pork.![]()

Crimea in 2014 is irrelevant.
???Is it still irrelevant today?
