While the article below is not specific to racist talking points, it does contain a quick list of some that we hear quite often from our right wing/Republican racist friends. You Keep in mind that today’s racism does not consist of name-calling such as using the n-word, but rather of what seems to be a constant need on the part of the racist types to find nothing but negatives to express about blacks. Anyway, here are some of the talking points that they use:

“A few common themes include:

The idea that racism is “largely” over or dying out over time.
People of color are obsessed with race.
Alleging discrimination is itself racist and divisive.
Claiming discrimination is “playing the race card,” opportunistic, hypocritical demagoguery.
Civil rights are a crutch for those who lack merit or drive.
If we can address class inequality, racial inequity will take care of itself.
Racism will always be with us, so it’s a waste of time to talk about it.”

Almost all sucker punchers are young gentlemen of ethnicity X.

Just yesterday, someone was standing on the street minding his own business when two young gentlemen walked by and suddenly sucker punched him and robbed him. The "victims of society" left the victim lying on the sidewalk.

A local Los Angeles TV station had the guts to show the video and even (gulp!) identify the perps' ethnicity.

If being afraid of certain young gentlemen is "racism," well tough buns!

Those individuals represent an entire race?

What race has been responsible for the mass gun murders over the past few years, to include mass murders of Asians, Jews, Blacks, and Muslims? Should we immediately reference them when discussing the white race,or condemn the entire white race because of them?

SO, I guess by your measure, we should all be VERY afraid of white people, after all, all of your MASS SCHOOL shootings were done by white people.
AND you should worry about jogging in a white neighborhood, some whites might not appreciate that if you are non-white.
AND while we moan about BLM, it was white folks who thought of invading the Capital and threatening to hang Mike Pence.

YOU ARE RIGHT in one way, a person belonging to a minority should be exposed if committing a crime, but then don't moan and groan about whites being picked on when THEY ARE EXPOSED for the crimes they commit.

Those individuals represent an entire race?

No one ever said that they do.

But since almost ALL sucker punchers are of that ethnicity, then it is only common sense (something that "liberals" deny) that people would be wary when they see certain young gentlemen approaching.

After all, even the Rev. Jesse Jackson admitted years ago that if he was walking down street at night and turned around to see a young man of his own ethnicity, he would feel concerned!

If you wish to opine that "racism" is still rife in this nation, that is your business.

But the Silent Majority knows that accusation is a crock.

Have a nice weekend!

a couple of weeks back I did my own test, people from the Right who were bemoaning about being called racists and talking about cancel culture and leftists playing the race card, I decided to do my own test with them.

I asked a simple question:
Are you able to sit down and bread bread with someone different than you? Can you listen to a person of color about their experiences without judgment? JUST LISTEN?

I asked this of a dozen or so of our more regular rightwingers, and go a lot of:
But Joe Biden
But cancel culture
But liberals are the real racists
but, but, but

ONE, I say ONE, of them answered with a cursory YES, then went into a BUT right away after.

It is SO easy to tell a racist, it really is, they expose themselves so easily by not being able to simply say "I understand the black experience and I do not take it as a personal insult to have their experiences spoken."

Good post, expect a huge backlash, it will be royal!

Hence, what's your position here?

That people shouldn't make these arguments?

So in summary, you're afraid of black people because you're worried they'll punch you out of nowhere? Does this logic stop here or are you terrified of white people as well because they might shoot you?

Should a black person feel safe entering a country and western bar?

I was in that thread. You and I exchanged dozens of posts and you never asked me this once.

"Racial diversity is our country's weakness"

No one is condemning the entire Caucasian race.

But if most "mass gun murders" were committed by Caucasians, then say it and do not try to find an excuse.

Many "liberals" excuse the horrific street crime committed by certain young gentlemen by claiming that the poor darlings are victims of poverty caused by those big mean Caucasians.

If you want to claim that "racism" is the cause for such violent behavior, that is your right.

The Silent Majority knows that such a claim is, well, nonsense.

"Are you able to sit down and bread bread with someone different than you?"

Yes. I do so regularly, and have all my life.

"Can you listen to a person of color about their experiences without judgment? JUST LISTEN?"

Assuming you mean 'without express judgment': yes, absolutely. To be totally without judgment, I would have to suspend all rational thought, which I only do if I don't care one whit about what somebody is telling me.

ALL sucker punchers?
White Supremacist Caught on Video Sucker Punching a Woman at Berkeley Protest
Trump protester sucker-punched by supporter in brutal video ...
Black Lives Matter protester sucker-punched as bikers overwhelm rally

Are you afraid of all 'young gentlemen'? Legitimate fear of danger is not racist, applying the attributes of some to the entire group is.

Coto has a (smal) point. No one, not you(Snowflake), not me and not COTO can sit down with anyone without any preconception what so ever. What we can do however is to come to the conclusion that what the one we are listening to experiences are something we never experienced ourselves, hence , we can see the discrimination or unfairness in the treatment and we can see if we are discriminated or not in relations to this person. That is if we want to.

Hence, what's your position here?

Not at all, but talking points are most often used to try to END a conversation than to continue in a more in-depth manner. These items, if offered, should be used as a BEGINNING of a conversation as not as a be-all, end-all of discussion about race.

No one moans and groans about Caucasians being picked on.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no riots and looting and murders when Caucasian criminals are arrested. There is no movement called "Caucasian Criminals' Lives Matter" that intimidates companies into giving "donations." (If you are alluding to the January 6 Capitol incident, let's not go there. I am talking about street crime and mass murders, etc.)

Have a nice weekend!

Yes, the talking points in the OP was just a sample. There are certainly many more.
That one I've seen used here a few times by the local bigots.
