This has been on my mind lately. So I realize we are pretty much in the middle of a Civil war in Iraq. This is just a "Hypothetical" question. Okay so we help out other countries in times of war. I was wanting to know who would help us if we broke out into another "civil" war? Remember this is just hypothetical.

Nobody would help. A good many nations would do the vulture thing and scavenge what they could from the ensuing destruction.

Nations would obviously side with the side that holds their interests.

The Sunni and Shia have been at war for the better part of 2,000 years.

The comic tradegy here is that only someone as brutal as Saddam Hussein could corral them into one nation.

It's way too late, but the best solution after we toppled Saddam would have been to follw Biden's (and many others) plan to split Iraq into three parts, Sunni, Shia and Kurds.

I believe the only thing we can do now is to leave there yesterday and let them sort it out.
