Question about arrest

That is, Don't talk if you've actually committed a crime and are too chicken **** to take personal responsibility for your actions like a grown adult. Oh and don't victimize anybody again of course. (:

The rest I agree with.

There are better ways to learn a lesson than to throw your life away and get sent to prison. It’d be better for society if you anonymously give a large gift to your victim and avoid prosecution.

It is possible to avoid further police harassment if you pull off a convincing argument to the cop that you’re the wrong person. The problem is, very few people are capable of pulling this off, and you won’t necessarily know if it’s possible in the situation until it’s too late. Don’t even try it if you’re young, poor, male, or black. You’re more likely to need a lawyer if you don’t cooperate, but you’re more likely to land in jail if you do cooperate. You should respectfully state that a lawyer advised you to never talk to the police, even if innocent. This will show the cop that their usual tricks won’t work, and won’t necessarily prove to them in their minds that you’re the right person, as most denials of giving a statement may. If applicable, calmly state, "I do not consent to any searches."

I am not a psychologist I just play one on the internet.:doh

Here's the irony of that statement: I'm not a psychologist, but I will end up becoming one when I finish grad school.

Now, while I'm NOT a psychologist, I'm a small bit willing to dispense a certain amount of "advice", as it is simply information coming from a layman with some knowledge of psychology, but with the addendum to seek advice form a professional because I'm not a professional.

When I end up BECOMING a professional psychologist, I will NOT dispense any advice at all on the internet because, as a professional, I could open myself to repercussions for giving advice over the internet when I am not fully familiar with the case in question and thus any advice I could give may not be fully informed advice.

For the most part though, I don't do anything more than give some psychological insights into generalized behaviors and such, not any real "advice" besides "talk to a pro".

In other words, I'm currently more willing to give people psychological information now than I will be when I become a professional psychologist.

Granted, I even avoid giving information at that low of a level, for the most part, particularly because there is no way for me to get an accurate read on any given person or situation based solely on their posts here.

You can sue em but have a hard time with it because it is your word v/s theirs. The cops love to play mind games with people. It is wrong and entrapment! :(

I think you need to do some research on what entrapment is.
