Is it going to be the Washington Admirals?

The least desirable name, is probably the cheapest, so there is the least amount of merchandising revenue sharing required with other teams already having the same name.

"Somewhere between frustration and disappointment, the Washington Football Team looks back at a lost 2021 season with a clear focus on obtaining a quarterback for 2022.

Asked Tuesday if Washington might need to find a quarterback this offseason, head coach Ron Rivera laughed and said, "That's an understatement."

While there are plenty of quarterbacks out there, the best are either already on another team or waiting to be drafted.

And for the first time as Washington's boss, it sounds like Rivera is ready to make the big move necessary to land one. "

"As we look at all avenues and we sit down and we talk about trading, whether it's trading for a player or trading up in the draft — what will it take? — we can have an earnest conversation where we may say, 'It's going to take not just draft picks, but it may take a core player or two.' With the depth we have at certain positions, we might be."

Rivera's comments came via the Washington Football Talk Podcast, and the coach explained his team can seriously consider a litany of moves to acquire a quarterback. Asked specifically about trade possibilities, Rivera seemed ready to explore all options."

What about if you have good receivers and tight ends, a gifted QB is not needed to complete passes. Don't forget about the Defense to win games.

Is Kirk Cousins, Minneapolis QB, available?

That organization is in total disarray. Players fighting each other on the sidelines on national TV, and the head coach does nothing. It will take much more than a top notch quarterback to get this cluster bleep back on the right track to winning FB games in the NFL.

They need a name before they can even think about a QB
Washington Rednecks is the best suggestion yet. Fun for all. I think it would be embraced.

They need a real leader, someone with demonstrable leadership qualities, mental acumen, and physical prowess, someone who truly thinks they've played the game (albeit collegiately) before - I vote for the one and only.... Fibber Biden! Architect of the Longest Yarn!

Of course, I jest; the only thing demonstrable here is his utter inability to lead.

Or maybe they should recruit Joe Namath, get him off the Medicare TV commercial circuit to hawking Medicare programs to his team mates instead. At least they'd have dental.

The owner may have learned to avoid undercutting his coaching staff in the off-season.

The direction set by the coaching staff needs to supported by ownership.

We'll see.

"Coach Ron Rivera cannot speak publicly about a Washington Football Team trade for Deshaun Watson; that would be tampering.

But he can - and is - speaking generally about why a player like Deshaun Watson would like to play in a place like Washington.

“Why not? Why wouldn’t they come here?'' Rivera said this week in a radio interview on "The Sports Junkies,'' responding to the hosts' suggestion that top-flight QB wouldn't be attracted to coming to D.C."

"- Tyrod Taylor
- A.J. McCarron
- Robert Griffin III
- Colt McCoy
- DeShone Kizer'

Or anything else. But two names have already been ruled out. The good news is we don't have to wait much longer.

I can think of one reason why a QB might not want "come here"......

That's just misdirection.

Obviously not because all you had to support your belief is a tweet you know I can't read.

There is no reason to think a team would lie about this. If Dan Snyder wanted to call his team the Wolves or Red Wolves,,he would have kept his mouth shut. And it is true other teams call themselves the Wolves.

I didn't know you couldn't read.

You knew embedded tweets do not show up on my screen because I explained that several times.

There is only two choices either they are lying or they are stupid. I suspect it's both.

They can't be lying. As for being stupid, that word describes whoever leaked a few nickname finalists with no proof they actually want to be any of them.

It's possible that Washington did not set up the WashingtonAdmirals.com domain, but it should be noted that no other combination of "Washington" plus other rumored nicknames - like "Armada" or "Brigade" or "Commanders" - presently link to the team website. That could mean several things: someone accidentally linked the "Admirals" page to Washington's website, Washington accidentally linked the pages early, or someone is trying to fool everyone before the official unveiling.

You don't think it is possible for them to lie?

Here is what they said "Once we began looking into Wolves, however, we became aware of a notable challenge: trademarks held by other teams would limit our ability to make the name our own."

Here is the twitter picture, hopefully you can see it on your Apple 2

Those have already been debunked by looking at who registered those sites and when they were registered

So it definitely will not be Admirals, Brigade, or Commanders?

I vote for the Washington Tampons!

Good for only one period and no second string………..;)

Ryan Fitzpatrik, QB still with WFT

Fitzpatrick attended Buffalo Playoff Game.

WFT NFL 2022 Pck is no 11.

Top 2022 QB Drafts, 5, 6, 7 and 8,

"5. Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati (6-4, 215 pounds)

Ridder stands out with his loose arm and natural running ability, too. Although he's not quiet as dynamic in those areas as Willis and Corral, his big appeal is the mental and physical toughness. He's also got the intangible of winning leadership and plenty of experience.

6. Carson Strong, Nevada (6-4, 215 pounds)

Strong is the same size as Ridder and has done many simliar things well as the leader of the Wolf Pack. HIs last name is apt for how he can make all the throws with his arm, and he's still learning to better use his athleticism. He's kind of a hybrid of what Josh Allen and Justin Herbert do well.
7. Tanner McKee, Stanford (6-6, 228 pounds)

McKee has an outstanding big and strong frame and he has put together some NFL pleasing passing skills with it breaking out for the Cardinals. McKee has the arm to deliver the ball anywhere and recognizes pressure well to be accurate and efficient. He doesn't have the biggest arm in relation to some of the prospects above, but he tends to put the right touch on his throws.

8. Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky (6-1, 220 pounds)

Zappe has had a prolific first season bumping up to FBS with great accuracy, smarts and toughness in a "Air Raid" style high-volume passing game. He is right there in the record books with Joe Burrow, another transfer QB who went No. 1 overall in the 2020 draft. That's getting him some initial interest as either a third- or fourth-round pick with upside."

What position ranking will the Admirals be able to draft a QB at no 11 pick?

2021 Cut Down Dates

"The NFL decided on Wednesday that they will be changing the schedule of mandatory cutdown deadlines for the 2021 season, per multiple reports. Recently, the NFL changed its format to allow teams to carry their 90-man roster all the way until the 53-man deadline date, typically on the Saturday following the final preseason game. Although last year, COVID-19 restrictions mandated that team only carry 80 players into training camp.

This year the NFL will instead adopt a three-step cutdown process. Here’s how it’ll work.

150 top draft picks, all QB's left at no 11, for the Admirals

Defense, Offensive Line, and WR more important than QB.

"On the offensive side of the ball, teams looking for quarterback saviors will have options, though it remains to be seen whether or not there's a bonafide No. 1 passer to emerge before the draft: North Carolina's Sam Howell was the latest to declare, joining Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett and Ole Miss' Matt Corral.

Cincinnati's Desmon Ridder and Liberty's Malik Willis are also expected to enter the 2022 NFL Draft."
