Prostitution

No. My opinion is formed by looking at facts and is evidenced based. Your opinion on the other hand is as useless as you try to suggest opinions are.

And again no, this is a debate site in which subjects are open for debate regardless of whether a government chooses to act or not.

Legalized prostitution in the USA is a moot point. Even if it were legal, what man would want to be overcharged for sub-par service? Have a look at the competition just from crossing the Rio Grande. NSFW! NSFW! Divide the prices by 20 to go from Pesos to US Dollars. PLUS, the arrangement is pay after.

I would think that once legitimate businesses were established, quality and price would be highly affected by marketing and competition. Plus closer to a guarantee of consistent quality service.

Of course if you dont want to pay for clean and quality, you can take your chances elsewhere.

Nobody is subject to your opinion, either. That you think all a woman is good for is selling sex is what's denigrating.

I never claimed any women (or men) are, nor did I make sweeping, disrespectful, outdated generalizations like you did.

And myself and someone else already called you out about lying that I ever even remotely implied that all women are good for is selling sex. You've been reduced to blatantly lying in this thread.

So far in this discussion I get the impression that most of the participants are thinking of the typical streetwalking hooker that you see in a depressed neighborhood, rampant with crime, drugs and violence.

Just a side note: You may also want to take stock of the wider variety of professionals out there, many of whom are relatively ordinary looking college girls, or even GUYS. Many of them are paying their way through school by turning a few selective tricks here and there, mostly on an outcall basis with clients who they pre-screen carefully first.

You would be very surprised to find out how many cute little co-eds are in the business. Student debt sucks, doesn't it?

You'd also possibly be surprised at how many aspiring actresses take part in the business on the side when acting jobs aren't coming in thick and fast. Many of their clientele might turn out to be surprisingly high brow. They pay a visit to a home in Bel-Air or Brentwood, share company with high powered exec, get their money and go home, and pay the rent.
They call themselves "escorts" but that's something of a stretch.

And there is no way on earth law enforcement can even remotely keep track of it.

99%+ are street hookers - not the glamour stuff you posted about. The new plus of being a prostitute to high bow people is then they can do the noble thing like Stormy Daniels and turn around and extort the man later or even years down the road - threatening to expose him or threatening to cry rape. What is more noble a profession than a prostitute that extorts her clients, huh?

Prostitution is not legal in Nevada. A brothel is (or was). That has nothing to do with legalizing prostitution. The brothels in Nevada are a bust for obvious reasons. Prostitution is not done in brothels. Usually its done curbside, an alley or a cheap motel by the hour.

...as it is also done in any city and town you choose in the USA.....and world wide.

In difficult times people will shovel shyt to survive. What's the difference? Farmers shovel shyt by choice. I worked on farms in my youth and have shovelled plenty.

You should have gone into POLITICS...:usflag2:

Nevada is not the only place where prostitution is legal. And those other places are not all third world nations.

Take Amsterdam for example.

In France, you ask a cop where the best women are.
In Australia and most American cities, you ask an experienced cab driver.

I think we should repeal the prohibition of prostitution, as well as narcotics. We should then tax the holy hell out of those goods and services, then use those tax dollars to attempt to make society less depressing and lonely. I would do things like build houses for our homeless, parks for our kids, free university for adults, and free hospitals for everyone (especially the elderly).

What a refreshing view of the world.

I could get fake ones before I next travel. Maybe "mother" on one bicep and "born to lose" on the other?

That should do it.....and don't forget to get a demin jacket with the sleeves cut off to show them what a bad boy you are.
Heck, you may not even need a hooker looking like that. ;)
They can always be PLAN B.

Is there any valid argument against prostitution ?

Plenty, but there are also plenty for it.
Depends what you want to achieve. This thread is 49 pages, but I don't see any but the broadest implied consensus on what it is people want to achieve either by legalization or criminalization.
Is the objective to protect sex workers, prevent the population from becoming desensitized to sex, uphold moral values or what? These are not exactly 100% compatible, and if you don't have a plan, you most likely won't reach your objectives.

CSI for dummies:
1. What is the vision? --What are our goals and objectives--
2. Where are we now? --Define the baseline--
3. Where do we want to be? --Set up measurable targets--
4. How do we get there? --Actual ideas on how to proceed and implementing them--
5. Did we get there? --Measurement of targets from #3--
6. So we made mistakes. How do we fix them? --Go to #1--

So starting with #1. What is the vision?

All I know, is that Humankind has attempted to regulate prostitution since the dawn of time, but it has never succeeded in preventing it. That should probably be taken into consideration when defining our vision.

I see, lacking any real argument the best you can do is point to spelling mistakes. As if getting a few letters wrong makes any difference. I may make mistakes in spelling but at least i can argue the point. You, obviously, cannot.

I see, _lacking any real argument, the best you can do is point to spelling[grammar] mistakes. As if getting a few letters wrong makes any difference[Partial sentence. Instead try "grammar errors do not impact the logic behind the argument"]. _I may make mistakes in spelling[grammar] but at least [I] can argue the point. You, _obviously, cannot.

You are ignorent on the topic as you fail to account for how prostitution, organ donation, and being paid for adoption contribute to global human slave trafficking.

I clicked this thread thinking it was about Malaria Trump. So sorry to intude.

You are ignorent on the topic as you fail to account for how prostitution, organ donation, and being paid for adoption contribute to global human slave trafficking.

It has been accounted for by the fact that prostitution when legalised is no different from any other business. Your argument also suggests that because cleaners can be extorted to work for less than adequate pay or that farm workers are exploited then we should make those professions illegal as well just to be consistent.

As i said you have no real argument and can only make yourself appear superior by pointing out what is irrelevant and is an attack upon the arguer because you cannot attack the argument.
