I think there should be more focus on giving people what they need. Both in money and other types of benefits as well like services and bonus. Like a widespread goal of reducing the mount of stress on human resources and higher pay as long as it's not corrupt.

But, to restate, things people need. Like quality of life, satisfaction, health and wealth, etc.

That addresses the “to each according to their need” portion, but conveniently leaves out the “from each according to their ability (to pay more taxes?)” portion.

Let’s use an example of two workers, toiling side by side at the same task for the same employer. Should they receive the same (net) pay and benefits or should their (net) pay and benefits differ if one of those worker’s has a larger household and/or other household income?
