Don't know, you'd have to ask one of them. I personally think it was dumb, and not worth our attention. People do stupid **** like this, just so we'll talk about them and judge them. Why give them what they want.

In our defense we did not know that he was "joking" till a few hours ago.

Given the very nasty things he has said about Trump and his supporters in many places we had no reason to suspect that he was funning us.

Years ago when his claimed area of expertise was the Venezuelan left this guy was reasonably reasonable. Then the dream died(Chavez at al), then he got into BLM one assumes because he was looking for a way to stay relevant with his students as the latest example of the failure of the left was fresh in everyones minds, then Trump won....he looks like he has been losing his marbles all along the way for some time based upon my little scout around the web.

I'd like to see that, but I know that it'll never happen, much as is the same with all academia, they believe they are exempt from the consequences of their idiocy.

This guy is interesting, and he is smart, but man-O-man did he ever take a wrong turn when he started calling for violence in his own country before we had barely begun to talk about what ails us...... when he decided that our constitutionally elected President is a parasite that needs to be put down, that the people who elected him and support him are scum.
