Political science professor Helmut Norpoth, who has accurately called the results of the last five presidential elections, still asserts that Donald Trump has an 87% chance of defeating Hillary Clinton despite Clinton being ahead in the polls.

I feel like we have some professor with a model claiming the underdog will win every year. I know in 2012 there was a University of Colorado professor whose model predicted the last 13 elections and had Romney as a winner and that was bandied around the blogosphere for awhile.

Well, in a couple of weeks, we will know which person wins. The somewhat flawed guy, or the corrupt to the core, crook and liar.

Clinton Corp is sure doing their best to replicate the Columbia Experience: "We are going to win for sure, nothing to see here...".

Dumb.

Yup. But you do know there are more candidates than Johnson and Trump, right?

Gotta hunt through that evidence until someone tells you what you want to hear ;)

Models simplify reality and then attempt to mimic some aspect of it.

The model is only as good as its assumptions, and i doubt many college professors models are capable of properly handling the the all-important 'grabbing someone by their genitals' variable.

Yes, but Trump is the only candidate that has a chance of defeating Hillary.

infowars makes Dick Morris seem like The Amazing Kreskin.

Because every single poll is rigged I am glad we have obscure professors and infowars to let us know what's really going on and what's going to happen.

Big load off my mind.

Currently he's sitting at about 15%. So, if you want to vote for the candidate with the greatest chance of winning, then you should be #WithHer.

Trump's best chance right now is to lose in the polls by such a huge margin that Hillary voters, en masse, don't even bother to vote on election day.

Sure I also predicted the power ball numbers for the past 10 years, say that Hemut Norpoth is full of shaite!

Correction: we will see who wins, the corrupt politician or the corrupt businessman who bribed them for decades.

Also, Infowars is completely unreliable.

The law of averages is about to catch up with him. I swear, some of you guys must be Cleveland Browns fans who truly believe their team is going to win this week.

Mickey. What is said makes sense. Just like other polls being ignored. This election is going to come down to the people. Nothing that is said between now and then is accurately reflecting the anger of the people. People in this country are smart. They aren't falling for the left news propaganda that spews out made up numbers. That same media thinks they have us fooled. The joke us on them.

What no one takes the time to do is review the facts. The number one polling source tipp who had the closest margin in the last three presidential elections claims this to be a tie or trump ahead. Call it however you want but at least know the truth.

Yes, the clintons are placing their furniture into the White House. Much of it stolen when bill left office. If they do win, God have mercy on our souls and the souls of our interior decorators!

Oh the irony!

538 gives Hillary just about the same odds (86.1,) of winning as Prof. Crystal Balls gives to Trump.

86.1% chance for Clinton.
13.8% chance for Trump.

I think we should establish odds as to which one is right. 538 or the Prof? Gamblers will bet on anything.

With her...the most corrupt candidate of all times. Thank you but id rather write in Mickey Mouse. Or maybe those votes will mysteriously automatically go to hillary. Who knows anymore?
