A recent survey conducted by the Presidential Greatness Project, led by political science professors Brandon Rottinghaus and Justin Vaughn, has revealed some interesting findings regarding the rankings of American presidents. The survey, which received nearly 200 responses from scholars across various disciplines, has confirmed that Abraham Lincoln continues to be considered the greatest president in American history. However, there have been significant shifts in the rankings of other presidents.

Some interesting results here.

Some interesting results here.

Well, let me cite from your source:

"According to the survey, Franklin Delano Roosevelt has surpassed George Washington to claim the second spot on the list of greatest presidents. FDR's leadership during the Great Depression and World War II, along with his pioneering use of communication through Fireside Chats, solidified his position as one of the most influential presidents in history. Vaughn explains, "FDR eclipsing Washington in this survey reflects scholarly consensus about his role as the founder of the modern presidency."

Yes, the founder of the Administrative State via the creation of 69 offices including 38 agencies between 1933 and 1938. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabet_agencies

"The survey also marks the inclusion of President Joe Biden in the rankings. President Biden enters the list at number 14, ahead of recent Republican presidents such as Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. Rottinghaus notes that Biden's high ranking is attributed to the stability he brings after the tumultuous Trump administration. "Scholars often emphasize stability of norms in assessing presidential greatness, so Joe Biden, serving after a tumultuous Trump administration, entered the survey on a high note," he said."

There you have it folks. A listing by primarily left-leaning progressive "scholars" and the prime reason for Biden's ranking is, and I quote "The stability he brings after the tumultuous Trump administration." :rolleyes:o_O

If nothing else, IMO we can see just how far left our "scholars" in the area of upper education lean and how this might be causing the educational propagandizing and indoctrination leading to issues with the poor quality of college students and university graduates. Lots of activism, very little in the way of education.

From the O/P's source,
Justin Vaugh, a so-called expert, is as associate professor. The other "expert", Brandon Rottinghaus, is a college professor.
I liken the importance of their opinions right up there with those of "Dr" Jill Biden's.

Let me continue with some truths from that PDF.

Donald Trump rates lowest (10.92), behind James Buchanan (16.71), Andrew Johnson (21.56), Franklin Pierce (24.6), William Henry Harrison (26.01), and
Warren Harding (27.76).
Still no lies detected.

The Trump Presidency will be remembered for crime and insurrection. This upsets Trump supporters because they demand to be lied to and, tragically some even believe the lies.

Lincoln was a good president.

The desperation of desperate leftists prevails. Let's give them all a round of applause.

CLAP, Clap, ... clap
I'll save your applause for November when you'll be much quieter.

These lists... inherently flawed, some good, some bad. Eisenhower and Reagan are terribly overrated. I think it's more useful to discuss the reasons. The idea of JFK just below Eisenhower and LBJ is nuts.

Quoted for truth.
Progressives scholars ranking presidents on their progressive measuring scale.
You were expecting anything different as to their results? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

This ranking next meaningless, filled with nothing but wishful thinking and political push narrative.

This ranking is just like Obama winning the Nobel peace prize before he did anything, before he even took office.

I guess that you missed the "cross tabs" that showed that BOTH "Republicans" and "Conservatives" rated Mr. Trump as a worse president than Mr. Biden.

Would you like to comment on how academically unqualified the 154 actual respondents were?

Or are you quite satisfied that reading the first three lines of a 12 page document has given you all of the information that you are capable of absorbing?

Last week cruising the net I stumbled across an item about the worst presidents in history.

Jesus!

From William Henry Harrison to Garfield is all a wasteland of wasted $, stupid decisions and self gratification!

And when you think it can't get any worse you hit the Teapot Dome scandal and Garfield, Chester A. Arthur....and then there was McKinley. So of course a Lincoln is going to stand out, most of his predecessors were drunks, thieves and whore mongers. One of them, I forget which, had so many whores the white house was renamed to the obvious....!

PS Don't blame Truman for all the 'liberal excesses" it as Bess all along!

You're talking about the same person.

Really? I didn't know Biden was both senile and still had blond hair! I thought he was all grey, or is he being counted as "platinum blond?"

Inquiring minds want to know. LOL :D
