Pregnant Popeyes worker fired after armed robbery
Gotta wonder if the $400 was worth the publicity? I like their chicken, but mercy me, not the brightest move on their part.
Was your courier ignoring your instructions repeatedly?how stupid is that manager?
the employee has zero liability regarding theft like that
a number of years ago, one of my employees (our courier) was robbed just as he entered the bank with the deposits
the robbery was going on, and the perps saw him holding the deposit bag, and took that with them also
robberies happen....that is why businesses carry insurance
money is replaceable.....
Wow. That some here defend asking her to pay back money from an armed robbery? Stunning.
It seems odd that some are defending her incompetence

While I understand your point, until such time one can prove she was involved, Popeye's looks pretty clueless. The idea that someone pay back money stolen by an armed robber is beyond stupid. Think about what you are really telling people. You are in essence telling them it's their money and they better protect it.
The town nearest where I live is a high-crime area.
Deep down in the 'hood is a store called Biggerstaffs'. Been there for about half a century. Run by one family.
Biggerstaffs' is both a convenience store, and a lunch counter, and a check-cashing place. Around the first of the month they probably have more than $100,000 on hand, much of it in the registers from what I've seen.
The cash register area is not surrounded by bullet proof glass or metal cage.
Biggerstaffs has never been robbed. Nobody has even tried it.
Why?
Mr. Biggerstaff and his brother wear Glock .45s openly on their hips, with stacks of spare loaded mags on the counter behind them, and rumor says Ms. Biggerstaff has a 12 gauge behind the lunch counter.
No trouble there.

Who did that?
Then you must recognize that she was treated fairlyNobody is doing that. Why would you make this up?
They are offering her the job back:
Popeyes attempting to rectify pregnant manager's firing
Apparently someone did something wrong...
Perhaps cooler heads have prevailed. Said top management at Popeye's:
I wouldn't be surprised if the gunman was her boyfriend/son.
Sounds like she made herself eligible for the firing by screwing up previously.

Repeatedly? Where and how do you know this. She repeatedly violated the store policy which cost the store to lose money. An argument could be made that she should only have to pay the difference between what she was supposed to have in the drawer and the $400
The Popeyes franchise owner, Z&H Foods Inc., wouldn't talk on camera. However, a spokesperson in their human resources department explained that Holcomb was fired because she broke policy by leaving too much money in the register, and this wasn't her first offense.
If you were the shift manager, would you leave excess money in the cash drawers after being repeatedly told not to do so. Or would you go on the philosophy that, "You ain't got to do nothin' that nobody tells you"
Can I get the actual address of this place, and their hours of operation?
She robbed the store? I missed that. Would you please quote that part of the article?

Did you read the part that says it wasn't her first offense. That's what repeatedly means, just for the recordRepeatedly? Where and how do you know this.
