Actually, the topic was about walking away from responsibility post conception. That option already exists for men. It's literally just walking away. They may have to move somewhere they have very little connection to, perhaps change their name, change info, change their life, but they so have that option.

You're not doing that though. You are doing nothing really here. Heck the main issue with the proposal of a contract prior to sex is that very few women would agree to it. And a man withholding sex or a relationship from a woman is not going to be some big deal for most women, especially when most men wouldn't do it.

If you do that why not have mandatory sterilization of the male that participated in the pregnancy? You don't honestly believe that all males that father children participate in raising the child do you?

It hasn't though. Legally, the opt out options are still unequal. And the opt in options are also unequal, because they are legally unequal due to how our laws work, what they take into consideration when it comes to them being in place, the reasons they are in place. Biology is part of that.

There are many women who just dont believe in abortion. They use birth control, it fails...they are willing to accept having a kid. That's not irresponsible. That's accepting a consequence. As is a painful, costly abortion. Or miscarriage, or death…all possible consequences but there's no escape…she'll be suffering at least one if not more.

So why is it so unfair for men to do the same? They knowingly accept the risk and know they cant tell her what to do. If they sleep with her anyway, then they also should accept that consequence. It's equal. It's not equal outcomes but they knew that going in too.

If men dont act in their own best interests and avoid that risk, that's their choice...that is irresponsible. And stupid IMO.
