Please not another Benghazi hearing.

Who's talking about that election? This all falls into 'this' election. The 2016 Presidential, and isn't Hillary a candidate in that election? So anything in Hillary's history is fair game for re-examination, especially for the office of the president. Hillary's history, a gift that keeps giving. Guess you'd better get used to it.

What ever happened to just moving on. These modern conservatives are like bull dogs. Once they get a bite they will never let go even when what they are trying to eat has no meat.

How about we 'just move on' past the excessive social spending? Dial that back to what's more 'normal'. The people affected are going to figure out they are going to need a job or something else. Maybe they'll start a business or something and employ others? Heck, why not?

Wait, what? Have we had umpteen hearings trying to dig up the smoking gun of federal malfeasance regarding social spending, only to continue to find nothing?

Each hearing costs a TON of money. Let's all have a silent moment to remember the Congressional hearings about baseball (during GWB's Presidency). Yes, that's right. Our Congress, at the administration's urging, actually had hearings on the use of steroids in baseball. It cost us, the taxpayers, MILLIONS of dollars. (Bush had owned all or part of a baseball team at one time and was a HUGE baseball fan.)

The world's a rough place with many evil doers (as ISIS and other demonstrate time and time again), and any military engagement should be on the basis of overwhelming force and odds in our favor. A strong military is a deterrent force keeping US citizens safe from attack.

They are hoping for a gift. A scandal that would hide the fact they are behind the times on many social issues and their fiscal double talk which has been exposed over and over.

Thanks, but I think we should keep it as it is. Sure some sensical elimination of weapon systems the joint chiefs don't want anymore should be eliminated (in spite of the various congressmen forcing these systems into the budget due to employment in their districts).

Really, the joint chiefs should have the final decision on which weapons systems to pay for going forward, not congress.
