Last time I checked abortion rights where the law of the land and many providers do abortions. PP helps poor woman get healthcare including abortion. How can that be bad. I'm not a right winger and yet I too believe that we need to start cutting people off of welfare. Only give it to the ones that actually need it. Not the ones that sit on their behinds watching tv and using foodstamps to buy alcohol. And most other people that I have talked to on the right side believe this also. I don't know of a single one that minds if the people that actually NEED the help gets it. They just object to the ones that get it but are perfectly capable of actually working but don't.

You could earn 12 an hour and still need foodstamps to feed your family. If the economy was normal then the conservatives screaming about foodstamps would be legit but now it makes them look like selfish pricks and tightwads. Million of good manufacturing jobs sent overseas does not help and shutting down that lumber mill in Libby ten years ago did not help the economy where you live. I bet there are a few on foodstamps up there in northern Idaho and nw Montana.

Ah, you're talking about the Moyie Bridge.

But yeah, there are alot of people on FS here. But there are also quite a few jobs if you're willing to actually do the work. Most of it is farm labor or logging, Naples still has its mill going and there is one in Moyie. (btw, thats pronounced moy-a for those that don't know ) but if you don't want that there are plenty of other jobs available. We just had a Super 1 open up a few months ago and they're still hiring. The company I work at is desperately needing people also (I answer phones and take messages...thats it...though that is no cake walk either mind you...). That is part of the reason that I so believe that our welfare system needs a complete overhaul. I don't mind people that are working getting foodstamps, I just mind the ones that are just sitting on their butts getting every handout that they can get. If there wasn't any jobs to be found that might be one thing, but frankly there ARE jobs that people can get and do...they're just too lazy to do it.
