Seeing as how Pfizer said the Trump administration didn't have anything to do with the vaccine, it seems reasonable to avoid influencing the election with something that isn't relevant to it.

So you agree that it was withheld in order not to allow Trump to claim any part of it, the people can wait. Now Biden can say it was released as soon as he was President elect - all about political image is it not.

Did anyone really doubt that this type of news would come out after the election? I have always said that a vaccine would be released after the election and guess what? Tada- They had this info before but releasing it would have given Trump a bump up and that was a no-no. I fully expect other companies will soon be releasing their versions also. Politics with American lives as pawns.

I'm going to be one of the first group to get these shots.

I use a CVS pharmacy & that chain is one selected by to administer vaccinations. I'm scheduled to go there for my second shingles shot & will ask them if they participate. They have small refrigerator/freezers behind the counter but I am not sure if they will be able to handle -76 deg F (dry ice temp) required for storing the vaccine.

I’d be skeptical. Pfizer says they can only produce up to 50 million doses this year which is enough for 25 million people. And, since the government already preordered $2 billion worth of the stuff, the Trump Administration will be controlling who gets it until Biden is sworn in. Things could get very ugly.

I realize that & don't expect to get vaccinated until sometime next year.

There are a lot of distressed stocks out there that would boom if this gets under control. Even though money is tight there is tons of pent up desire to travel and and do things the pandemic has kept us from. I play tons of poker and know many other players who can’t wait to get back to it when it’s safe. There will be another stimulus check coming which will spark things.

Cashed in one....have a net loss of around $ -2000 for the four tourneys so far.....but OMG, so much damn fun

Been at tables with Hellmuth, kathy Liebert, and a few other well known pros.....

Here is hoping that it works and that they can start mass producing and distributing it immediately.

It will be a till the end of the month before they get the data to ask for emergency FDA approval. Then, there will be limited supplied for at least a few more months, even given the approval. The initial targeted people probably will be the frontline workers that are at high risk.

Ironically I too have a net loss of 2000 at the WSOP. I lasted all of 5 hours in a $2000 dollar limit tourney. I used to play a ton of tournaments online mostly because I could play several at a time. I don't have the patience for live tourneys. I mostly play cash games. I don't trust online these days so I'll wait till the coast is clear for live play. Some of the Casinos are doing a pretty good job with safety measures but I'm just not ready to risk it just yet.

President Trump was right when he said the announcement of successful vaccine would be made after the election. Why, so the announcement wouldn't benefit his election. Trump and team had Covid virus management under control. There is nothing more Biden could have done, period. And phiser has farmed out production of the vaccine to other labs so as to produce more doses. It will not take until late spring to make it available to the most at risk, thanks to the Trump Administration. They have already set up distribution channels And are ready to go. And Hospitals Are paid more if the medical record of deceased lists Covid-19, therefore if the Physician works for the hospital or owns shares in the Hospital they too earn more. Not their fault, they should only be paid more if that was the diagnosis they were admitted for, treated for or died of. I am sure if Hidden becomes President he will a few this up along with bringing back manufacturing jobs from China and other Communist and poor Nations. And he will likely not bring back drug manufactures to U.S. As use to manufacture drugs here. And we must again or China's control of needed drugs could be used as political pawn.
