US Attorney General William Barr said three times on national TV (Face The Nation/CBS) yesterday that unlike tear gas, pepper spray is not a chemical irritant.

Barr is 100% wrong. Both tear gas and pepper spray are lachrymatory agents. These chemical agents irritate the eyes with a burning sensation. Pepper spray is a chemical (Oleoresin Capsicum) derived from chili peppers.

Both tear gas and pepper spray are chemical agents typically used by police for riot control.
 




Lead bullets are made from lead, a chemical.


What he probably meant was pepper spray is "organic" and frequently used as a food additive.

Also, it's used in aromatherapy.
 

Well, yes, Barr is a detestable human being who is shaming the office he holds. But he's Trump's man, a true 'consigliere', so he says what the Boss wants him to say, whether it's an obvious lie or not.

It's why some of have to remember the problem really isn't Trump - he's just a symptom. The problem is the GOP, and people like Barr who enable Trump.
 

Whatever. The police are authorized to used whatever force is necessary to get control of a situation including deadly force if that's what's required. So consider yourselves lucky if they only use pepper spray.

All governments use the threat of violence to maintain control. All of them.
 

Apparently he understands the legal definition. It is not normal to call food a chemical.
 

Bill Barr should watch this video, better yet.... he should demonstrate to us that pepper spray is not a chemical agent by having someone spray his bloated face with a hearty dose of it.

 

What counts is dissuading the crowd from refusing to disperse as ordered without more bloodshed and looting. BLM and Antifa have had their fun. They have largely erased the gains black America has made under the Trump economy, which is certainly a win for the democrats.
 

i do not believe tear gas is made from food.

It causes crying, sneezing, coughing, difficulty breathing, pain in the eyes, and temporary blindness.

Also tear gas is routinely used against American troops by their authority.

The pepper is the food, oleoresin capsicum is the chemical that is extracted from peppers that is used in pepper spray.

Coffee beans could be considered a food, so does that mean caffeine is not a chemical?

And who uses the product? It is Democrats cops in Democrats cities. Tell them how you feel. Stop voting in Democrats.
