Palin makes her case

I would ask what it is about this woman you, and your fellow Liberals, find so distasteful about a woman who works, raises kids and has a brain, but I am pretty sure you don’t know and wouldn’t be honest in the first place. I know the answer, you dislike her for purely partisan reasons and are blinded by your profound bias and hate.

Amazing. I guess I will pick up the glove you constantly throw down.

I don't find her distasteful because she works, raise kids, and works. In fact, I admire her for deciding to put her hat in the ring. She comes from a state where the mental attitute of the populace is more "bubba" than Texas. So, you know that she had to fight toothe and nail to be elected to any office in Alaska because I guarantee you that she had people bashing her because she was a women. (Been in Alaska and experienced the mentality of many of the bigoted citizens). She has guts.

What I don't like is that in her first speech she reeked of GW, Cheney, and the Neo Con Pundits because she bashed, and bashed more, and then when she had bashed enough, she continued to bash. Now, I know you have to do some bashing, that is what we are supposed to do at conventions, but you don't have to bash through out your speech.

Dem or GOP, if you have a position, state your position, so we as Americans can decide if we like them, and don't bash. When you continually bash, you act like an animal that is corned. When you continually bash you create division and turn off people. The problem for the last sixteen years is that the two major parties forget to turn off the campaigning, and they go to the US Capitol as GOP or Dems, to only further their causes. They should go to the Capitol as AMERICANS to further American.

waaaaaaah
the VP nominee attacked the other parties nominees
not like that ever happened before

Damned right, I stated this earlier in the thread. This stupid poo throwing that both sides do only proves them to be little more than monkeys. I don't want to vote for monkeys, I want to vote for a thinking individual with a plan that I can agree with. If I'm not told the plan, I can't figure out if I agree with a candidate. So enough already with the damned bashing the other side, tell me what you're going to specifically do. But the problem really is that all the negative campaigning on both sides, the constant bashing that we see exemplified in Palin's speech, is nothing more than an indication that both candidates are terrible and can't bring anything good to the table. That's why the neocons adopted negative campaigning as their primary tool; they are bad, they have no plan, they can say nothing positive about themselves, and they wish to avoid all the issues.

The whooping and hollorin over Palin because she can say things about Obama or throw a bunch of stump speeches together and pretend it's a real speech is pathetic. Answers, we need answers; no more party rhetoric, no more negativity. I want to know why the candidate rocks, what they are going to do that's super awesome, the great effects and benefits which will be brought by the plan, etc. Anyone can launch an insult, it doesn't take much brain power. I want it demonstrated that a candidate is intelligent, competent, and has a plan I agree with before they get my vote. But as we saw with the RNC, we can't expect that this year. The candidates suck, no one seems to know a damned thing. We have a Presidential candidate who doesn't understand thing one about the economy, a VP candidate who doesn't know the job; and speeches from both that was nothing short of slander. Sheeple may be fooled by such a circus, but not everyone will be.

Have you ever actually been to Alaska? This is one of the most profoundly uninformed statements I've seen yet today But hey, the day is still young so way to set the bar really low from the onset, sparky.

It amazes me how someone can call a whole populace "bubba", implying ignorance or redneck status, but if I said the N word or chink, or spic, or fag, or any other slur about any other group of people, that same person would be gnashing their teeth and tearing their hair out to call another person racist or a bigot.

The hypocrisy is astounding. Wait...this is the left we're dealing with so...no it's not.

I tend to think that calling Alaskans "bubba" is a compliment...

You're right, Cheney was real good at it, still is. So, I guess we should look at that as a quality?

So instead of reading the content of the post you concentrated on "Bubba" You're right, the hypocrisy is astounding, this is the right we're dealing with. BTW, Dick Armey, one of the architects of the "repulican revolution" used this phrase when interviewed 9-3-08, (Armey: 'Bubba vote' to hurt Obama).

But, you're right I should have explained been to AK. I was stationed in AK. Lastly, I should have stated the "bigot mentality that I observed while I was there."

I'm sorry...I don't find the anecdotes of obvious bigots to be that compelling.
