Ottawa's core locked down as police prepare to move on protesters

That makes this interesting as hell.

Now, violence wasn't used, by any reasonable standard, but force could be argued, with the physical blocking of roads and landports, with the intent of overthrowing the elected government.

There are serious charges for the leadership, with more to come
Their stated mission was to overthrow the Govt
Their futures are severely ****ed
Now what will givesnedgo do with that money.
Other donation sites must be so happy with this change
There refusal of a Provincial Court Order, well the Govt added crypto, and fundraising sites to FINTRAC
Expect other laws/regs to be passed quickly regarding donation sites located outside of Canada
Now will they refuse to adhere to FINTRAC.
According to them
"Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo," the company wrote on Twitter. "All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns."

That's going to be really funny, given Canada's banking system and financial regulations.

The area where the horses were hasn't advanced in the least. And this is the crowd that has shown up in front of the Laurier Hotel. Cops are still visible but seem to be standing down for now. And this crowd means one of two things. The blockades not allowing pedestrians in are no longer being enforced, or all these people live in the perimeter.

Imo it's all mostly overboard by the gov. I understand opening up the streets so traffic can get through but anything beyond that is overreach. Declaring these people as terrorist is a massive overreaction.

And yet, people continue to call them terrorists.

No one declared anyone a terrorist.

So far: 100 arrests, 21 vehicles towed.
does it matter if they are declared terrorists or not if they are still treated as terrorists?

we have the same thing going on here with DoJ asking for a terrorist hashtag for parents
espousing violence ( which never happens) but Garland says that doesn't mean parents are terrorists ;)

The federal government will also immediately broaden the scope of its anti-money laundering and terrorist financing rules so that they cover crowdfunding platforms, like GoFundMe, and the payment service providers they use, she said. The changes, she added, will cover digital assets such as cryptocurrencies...

You'd make a good little facist sock puppet.

Might want to see if Trudeau needs any more anti democracy thugs to help him out.

Cry some more.

I swear, the right wing has turned into a pack of wet noodles.

So why did they elect him?
Liberals won 157 seats (won that Riding) with about 32% of the vote
Conservatives received a slightly higher % of the popular vote, 121 sets

Just like the US, Canada has its Red & Blue, with 2 other parties added, NDP and the BQ. Canada is not a 2 party State

Don't even bother. She never reads back to see what she's posting about.

This is the issue:

The discussion was whether the government declared the protesters "terrorists". They did not is my point.

Trix missed the whole thing.

No, I don't miss a trick. I responded to what you wrote, and proved it by linking back.
The fact is, Luce wasn't kidding, and you know it.

This is all kinds of awesome.

Well they screwed the pooch. Much more oversight is coming hard and fast
Their industry must be happy as a clam at a clam bake

"Replace the government or we will continue blocking local and international trade."

Sounds like terrorism to me.

Typical liberal lie.

The official protesters demands were aired countless times on every available media outlet and they all centered on the mandates and for Trudeau to stop being a condescending little prick.

I honestly don't know how you guys run your elections. Never interested me. Are elections held where you the citizens cast votes? If yes, then I return to my question. If he's so unpopular how did he win?
