This is one angle of the incident.No, one in particular that was really hard to watch is a video of a trucker peacefully complying to the officers decked out in their riot gear arresting him. But then they forced him down to the ground on his belly then piled up on top of the man while another cop started kneeing him over and over again. It was disgusting. They showed it on Harris Faulkner's show this afternoon.
Overitall:According to what I cited here it was the DPM that had issued the threat. If I'm not mistaken (and I very well could be because your system of Government is weird) that is like the VP of our country where in the event of the PM being unable to fulfill their obligations the DPM fills in. That seems to suggest it's a threat coming from the Federal, not a provincial politician.

Yes, she great ended but only the provinces have the power to carry out her threat. She would have to ask the provinces to back up her threat. Some like Ontario, Québec and BC likely would but some like Alberta would almost certainly refuse. The only way the Federal Government could attempt to do this unilaterally is if it somehow could declare licences as invalid documents for international travel. But since the unvaccinated truckers are already prevented from entering or leaving Canada by international agreement with the USA, such a move would be meaningless.
