Opposition to Project 2025 grows as people learn more about the plan.

You haven’t presented facts. I already refuted your claim in post 20. You’re not comprehending it for two reasons:

1) You haven’t read the Project 2025 proposals.

2) You are using Agenda 47 and Project 2025 interchangeably. They are, in fact, separate and distinct things. Agenda 47 is Donald Trump’s wishlist for a second term. Project 2025 is 900+ pages of proposals conceived and agreed upon by subject matter experts for what a conservative President should do.

Mass deportations are part of Agenda 47. They are not proposed in Project 2025.

"what a conservative President should do."

Which conservative president are they talking about?

Trump is on record calling for mass deportations...
So what?

Are you claiming because a single matching policy means adoption and support of all policies?

Enforcing existing laws is a problem?
Deporting people who illegally in this country a problem for you?

Regardless your unsupported nonsense, Trump didn't pretend.
Interesting, you know he really was unaware of Project 2025? How did I know about it in small town Indiana, and Trump didn't know about it?

Because you have nothing better to do than sit around and listen to the Trump haters try to make this issue about Trump.

Trump has more important things to do...like get elected.

He knows nothing, never heard of it, doesn’t even know who’s behind it, so don’t blame him. /s

From 2023;

Heritage and its project partners have already briefed Mr. Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida and their teams, Dr. Roberts said, as well as staff members for other current and potential candidates, including Nikki Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations; the entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy; and former Vice President Mike Pence. They plan to give private briefings to all conservative candidates.

LOL I have a really busy life but I do have time to read important political proposals.

It IS a historic, radical plan to overthrow the US government like never in history outside the Libertarian platform. It is not getting nearly the attention it deserves. It's like a nuclear bomb being dropped on New York, and the press takes months hinting that things aren't going too well there. The press doesn't do well with that kind of radicalism. It's just another story.
Well, JFTR, MSNBC has vowed to report on it every day from now until the election. It's gaining traction fast. And it's embarrassing some republicans pretty badly.

The 2025 Presidential Transition Project, as it is otherwise known, attacks several policies that former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden instituted, including student loan forgiveness and Obamacare. It simultaneously calls for expanded executive power for the commander-in-chief while criticizing what Project 2025 members perceive as overreaches by the Biden administration.

Kevin Roberts one of the architects of Project 2025 literally at the same event sharing the same stage as Trump, specifically talking about Project 2025.

Thanks, that's pretty damning. There's just NO WAY Trump doesn't know.

This is why Trump recently pretended to not know about Project 2025 despite it being created by close allies of his who worked in his first administration. Of course he also claimed to "disagree" with some of it, despite claiming not to know anything about it, directly contradicting himself...but whatever dear leader never lies;).

This is also why the GOP would rather focus on Biden's debate performance, "dementia", "illegals pouring across the border", etc, anything to avoid actual policy discussion because when policy becomes the focus, the GOP loses. The Republican Party cannot win an election based on policy, because their policies are deeply unpopular, even amongst some of their very own voter base.

This is why every single goddamned time a pundit or Republican pol asks a Dem spokesperson about Biden's screwing up during the debate or if he's going to step aside--every GODDAMNED time, the Dem should immediately turn it around and make it about Trump:

Media: "Do you think in view of Biden's performance in the debate he should step down?"
Dem: "What about convicted felon Trump's abysmal performance? He lied straight through the debate. More than 50 lies at last count. Didn't tell a single truth. Why aren't you talking about the reasons why convicted felon Trump should step down?"

Media: "Are you worried that Biden's mental acuity is diminishing?"
Dem: What about convicted felon Trump's mental acuity? Did you hear his last rally? He could stay two words without either slurring or stumbling or talking total gibberish. Wouldn't you say convicted felon Trump's mental acuity is that of an Alzheimer patient in his last stages."

Just keep hammering that "Convicted felon" before mentioning Trump.

Then he's too uniformed and stupid to run. Is that any better?

Some of those guys served under Trump, and he talks to them. Did it slip their minds?
Not just some of them. 3/4 of them served under Trump. The rest were close allies to the WH. The lead author is also the lead author for the republican platform.
Trump's current press secretary held a recruitment seminar for Project 2025 participants late last year. And some people have the audacity to claim Trump knows nothing about it or the people in it.

And now, despite Donald Trump's denials that he knows who these people are, he is deeply connected to key authors of Project 2025, which include Paul Dans, Roger Severino, Ken Cuccinelli, Christopher Miller, and Russ Vought. 15 hours ago

Could be the one who was just gifted a huge immunity gift by the RW SC. The one who basically just got permission from the court to do whatever the hell he wants.

Any conservative and frankly most of the proposals are things any thinking President of either party should do.

FAKE NEWS

Americans of all stripes love P25 and hope and pray it will become the rule of the Land, ASAP!

They'll say anything to get elected, when they can do it.

Why does MAGA support it, but most Republicans do not?

Why does MAGA support it, but most Republicans do not?

Most Republicans would if they knew about it. Especially the pruning of Federal bureaucracy and namely the alphabet soup inception of departments and agencies that provide no benefit to the American people and only exist to duplicate each others work. Instead they’re being polled about things completely unrelated to Project 2025.

No. The poll results were posted in this thread, post #1. It is way beyond the Margin of error. Most Republicans do not want this. MAGA does. Why is this?

This garbage right wing wish list that republicans and independent that lean right, would dislike... What is it?
I like many of the bullet points for what is claimed to be needed. However, such a transition would take decades to accomplish, as it has taken decades for the democrats to have harmed this nation as it is now.

It cannot be done overnight.

That said, I actually have no opinion on the plan, because I have not read the specifics. I may or may not agree with the details. It is over 900 pages.

What the heritage Foundation stands for in general, is much softer than what this 900+ page document. I agree with the things I have seen, and the scope this document covers surprises me.

That video with multiple snippets, probably out of context, is not proof that the narrative is accurate. Anyone believing the narrative is fact without farther and conclusive evidence, is a fool.

That's the thing. They can't do any of it without Trump in the WH. So, for him to wish them luck, he knows exactly what the plan is. It was written by Trump allies for Trump. They have all acknowledged this.
haven't you ever wished someone good luck sarcastically on an impossible task?

So which of the pushed political narratives from the Democrat's has actually been accurate?

'The Steel dossier is real'?
'Hunter's laptop was Russia disinformation'?
'Very Fine People'?
'Inject bleach'?
'Joe's just fine'?
'Joe's on top of his game'?
'Russian Collusion'?
'Trump's a Russian asset'?

Any of them? No? Why should this new pushed political narrative about this Heritage Foundation thought experiment be any more true?

Anyone believing the narrative is fact without farther and conclusive evidence, is a fool.
Agreed. The prudent default position needs to a heavy with skepticism, given the established track record.
The ideologically blind are incapable of seeing this, of realizing this, and they self-identify quite frequently, here and everywhere.

Under PROJECT 2025 not only will they go after Social Security, Disability and raising the Retirement age, they WILL come after Vets like my wife.
They will take away Concurrent Receipt (CRPD or CRDC)
Here's what that is: Veterans that do their 20 years get 50% of their BASE PAY.
We're OK with that, but if you don't have anchors, bars or stars on your collar, it's not much.
Most get a second career after retirement. Then there are those who aren't able to due to injuries sustained during Service.
Rather than choosing between your retirement and disability, we receive "concurrent receipt", meaning we receive both.
There is an offset, so there's math involved, but it's not "double dipping".
Retirement is earned by your years of Service.

Disability is payment for what that Service COST you, personally. (Physically and psychologically)

Vets that aren't able to gainfully work after Retirement who received a Disability Rating of over 50% are eligible for Concurrent Receipt.
Project 2025, as well as other things those who make our laws plan (all of whom are millionaires!) would take the concurrent receipt away from DISABLED VETERANS while giving massive tax breaks to the ultra wealthy.
They could make Military Retired Pay tax exempt, but, no.... they'd rather cut taxes for the already obscenely rich.”

Why on earth do MAGAs keep offering advise we shouldn't take, or give plans we should ignore? What's the point, they only look untrustworthy for doing so.
That has to be what I hear the most, excuses for why we shouldn't believe what MAGAs say.
