There is wide public support for changes, even amongst NRA members. Laws can be enacted, the Constitution can be amended.

The barrier to improving this worsening problem is simply lack of political will. The solution is voting them out.

Shit on the dead? They were shit on when they were alive by someone practicing their second amendment rights and now those dead folks cannot pursue life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness.

Look at the despicable Democrats, trying to get votes by politicizing the tragedy of murdered children. That's how Republicans seem to respond to people trying to improve safety. They have no idea about Republicans trying to get votes by promoting an issue of essentially unlimited 'gun rights'.

You give them too much credit for being better than they are.

Its not that they have no idea its going on, they simply dont care that its going on. That, to me, is significantly worse. You cant blame someone for not knowing what they dont know....but you can damn sure hold them accountable for knowing it and not doing something about it.

And using your second amendment rights to kill someone takes away their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Who cares how many school kids get shot up and die, it's my right to own a firearm. Now tell us again about the abortion issue and how the right cares about life.

There is no 2nd amendment right to murder someone. I know the left likes to create rights that don't exist but can you point to where in the 2nd amendment or even statements by the founders that support your claim that the 2nd amendment gives you the right to murder someone.

Don't sit and pretend to care about kids when abortion has snuffed out 63 million innocent babies in this country since it became legalized. The handful of mass school shootings pales in comparison to that.

Not sure how a heavily armed and supposedly highly trained police force AND SWAT team could shit on innocent lives more than by simply refusing to save them for almost an hour.

Neither is buying assault rifles and taking them to elementary schools.

No gun = no murder. It is that simple. There is no reason anyone should ever be allowed to own a gun without a job in the military or local police department.

No assault rifle was taken to an elementary school. Assault rifles are select fire magazine fed automatic rifles that fire intermediate size cartridge.The firearms the shooter used are not assault rifles. I believe the term you are looking for is assault weapon. Which are semiautomatic firearms with certain cosmetic features that make anti-2nd amendment trash piss and shit their panties at the sight of a gun.
Considering the intent of the 2nd amendment is so that average citizens can form militias to fend off invasions and tyranical governments the 2nd amendment does indeed give one the right own a firearm a militia would use, like an assault rifle.
