Here's the part I like -

The request "raised a serious risk of abuse". Damned straight it did.

Trump's DOJ doesn't think Trump should have to release his taxes. Now, that is a surprise.

Oh, damn! We're going to see some Leftist poutrage about this.

It's just another lie from Trump. "I will..."

He said he would. He lied. And his supporters don't care.

Is this kind of stuff newsworthy anymore? Trump is above the law. Nobody is going to do anything about it.

It was always about circumventing the confidentiality of individual tax returns and reveling them to the public despite Trump's (who has not lost rights shared by any other citizen simply by being elected President) choice to keep them confidential.

Trump's lie to keep them confidential. He promised voters, before the election, that his tax return would be released.

He lied. And his supporters don't care.

They want his tax returns so they can try to smear him and spread gossip over his tax returns.
They have zero legitimate reason to have access to them. The Supreme court won't allow this to happen!

Every defeat that the communist democrats suffer is newsworthy. It's something to celebrate.

Playing the victim card to avoid the fact that he lied to everyone to become elected.

No personal responsibility for Trump. Not even when he lies in your face.

Random use of "communist", everyone drink!

Yes, they certainly do have a legitimate interest in seeing them. That some people are emotionally capable of accepting that fact won't change its reality.

Congress determines what tax information can be shared with the public and nobody else... The precedent is clear and the law requires no justification for seeking the tax returns...

SIAP. Why must Trump reveal his taxes?

He said he would during the campaign. People voted for him with that assurance.

Personal responsibility. Responsibility to his constituents. Responsibility to everyone.

You'll play the victim card to excuse Trump from all responsibility, even when he lies in your face.

Release of presidential candidates tax returns are voluntary. It isn't mandatory. For me that sums up this issue. The people knew Trump wasn't going to release his tax return way before election day. Apparently that made little to no difference. Perhaps the Democrats needs to open Webster's dictionary and look up the meaning of the word voluntary.

His promise to release his taxes didn't play a part in my vote, but it's certainly something I take issue with now because he stood in front of the country (and the world) and said he would release them. So I don't give two rats behinds if his taxes are sterile clean or they are a disaster. He lied over and over with his promises and has zero credibility in my eyes.

He lied to get elected.

And his sycophants don't care. They hate personal responsibility.

The Constitution limits what congress is allowed to do. If you want to put congress in charge of everything then get rid of the Constitution.

An unsurprising suggestion.

What part of the constitution does congress having this power violate?

That isn't what 1603(f) says. It specifically states that permission must be obtained from the tax payer whose returns they are, for Congress to make any information public.
