So was the daughter plowed into smithereens? Or is it mountains and molehills again?
Since when is deliberately putting your child onto some train tracks a mountain out of a molehill?
On the other hand, anybody who brings a 4 year-old child to a protest needs to be clubbed like a baby seal.
Was there a train anywhere nearby? I mean, c'mon, the whole OWS thing has turned totally retarded, but this is a non-issue.Since when is deliberately putting your child onto some train tracks a mountain out of a molehill?
On the one hand, there was absolutely positively zero chance of a train rolling through there.
On the other hand, anybody who brings a 4 year-old child to a protest needs to be clubbed like a baby seal.
This. I really wish adults would stop using their children as pawns for their cause, regardless of what it is. Just. Stop. These kids don't know what they're saying, they don't when they're in danger, it's manipulative and low. I'm sick of it.
But the kids belong to them...
That has nothing to do with whether or not it's ethical.

I did watch it and somehow I missed that. Must've looked away for a split second. Never mind.I rarely watch videos in these threads (I suspect that the same is true of the vast majority of participants in forums such as this one), but this time, I did. Here's a still clip from that video, clearly showing the approaching train:

The narration explains that a group of protesters were trying to stop that train, by blocking the tracks. The mother herself is shown saying something about how she doesn't think the train's engineer would run over a bunch of people. I guess none of these idiots have any idea how long it can take to stop a freight train.
I really, really, really hate to say this concerning an innocent child, but in this case, if whatever stupidity it is that this woman has might be hereditary, then it would have been a great boon to the human race to remove this woman and her offspring from the human gene pool.
Not quite the same. Wilson was an adult. Wilson saw the train coming. Wilson still chose to stay.Someone should remind her that Brian Willson didn't think a train would run him over either, but it did.

Depends on the protest...

That train isn't moving. Even if the conductor decided it would be a good idea to run over all the demonstrators and murder them in cold blood, by the time it reached the people lying on the track it would be going a terrifying ~5 MPH. Certainly not enough time to move out of the way.

Exactly how was there zero chance of a train rolling through there?
