The wiretapping offenses will get real when Obama's operatives go to jail.

Will Obama be able to cover up his role in it?

The Washington Post's Bob Woodward warned on Wednesday that there are people from the Obama administration who could be facing criminal charges for unmasking the names of Trump transition team members from surveillance of foreign officials.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said earlier that he had briefed Trump on new information, unrelated to an investigation into Russian activities, that suggested that several members of Trump's transition team and perhaps Trump himself had their identities "unmasked" after their communications were intercepted by U.S. intelligence officials.

The issue is unmasking of the names.
That was illegal and the guilty parties should have their day in court.

It will be interesting to see if these names got unmasked on someone's orders or just another example of how stupid and incompetent some in the previous administration were.

Only in the world politics can phone calls from Trump tower be monitored and people claim that there wasn't any tapping going on. Also only in that world does a few phone calls listened to equate to all of the building tapped.

Yeah, except that, what Nunes revealed yesterday has nothing to do with Russia. Do you understand what the word nothing means? Serious question.

Woodward be damned, look at the article closely; the whole thing hinges on Nunes..who we know is believable right.

I suspect Woodward is senile by now, most of what he's said over the last ten years has been highly questionable.

Making multiple threads on the same nunes quote that you don't seem to understand and misinterpret here in this forum... won't suddenly make your narrative true. You are wrong about the same topic in yet another thread.
 
What I find amusing about all this is there is no doubt our intelligence was listening in on the Russians visiting us everywhere they went. If they weren't they should all be fired. So unless we have the most inept government intelligence gathering agency in the history of the world they are listening in on everyone important. So I am sure they have had Trump under surveillance every since he threw his hat in the ring. Anyone that thinks we need to wire tap or plant bugs to listen in and record information is 60 years out of tune with reality. All this information is not ever going to see the light of day or be used in a court of law. Anyone who thinks that our CIA, FBI, NSA, etc listen in and record peoples conversations only after getting a warrant are truly naive and clueless. But trust me they do use the information gathered.

So Trump is correct that he has been under surveillance by dozens if not hundreds of intelligence gathering agencies both domestic and abroad. The UK intelligence agencies are the best in the world and anyone who thinks they are not gathering information on us because we are allies is just plain stupid. A loose cannon like Trump with the power he wields as president is the #1 person to keep under surveillance other than Putin.

I think Obama used our government agencies to gain an advantage for the democratic party the same as every other president before him. To not use such power would be stupid.

Trump better learn to dummy up when it comes to all the illegal goings on in our government before he has a terrible accident.

Dude, not even close. Woodward is (correctly) pointing out that if the White House deliberately ran a scheme to unmask Trump campaign staffers, that would cause serious legal issues.

He didn't say "Obama did it!" He doesn't have any evidence. Not even a leak.

Meanwhile, Nunes is perfecting his backwards walk:

And he apologized for not discussing the info with the committee he runs:
