Obama's Weekly Address: Marking the Anniversary of Sandy Hook Shooting.....

Anyway you keep deflecting, I'm not talking about remembrance events for the OKC bombings I'm talking about when it first happened and made national news, which all those other events did as well. So again, why should the OKC bombing and all those other events make national news if they are just local crimes?

I Never said they didn't make National News. Which I already stated about any using this format for such a purpose.....your question was to Ttwtt over his local news comment. Or did you forget already.

I already did.....I stated a Nations Address shouldn't be used for any of it. Course I don't have to talk about a Republican doing it at the moment. But that wouldn't stop me from slamming his ass over doing something this pathetic with a Nation's Address.

Remembering the dead and then making a plea to and for his little group to keep the fight going on over his gun control. How does this benefit all within the nation?

Doesn't matter if your a parent.....Obama said EVERYBODY. His words not mine. So did you become a better parent due to the people of Sandy Hook?
 
People are angry he commemorated the anniversary of the shooting. If he didn't people would still be angry.

How many kids did America kill when they invaded Iraq? :(

How many are still dying today because that country is still a hell hole years later?

I have yet to hear a single American expressing the slightest grief for their lives ....so yes with these few kids in CT, I think it's over done.

We talk about the need to stop terrorism, sure. Saying therefore you need to support the President's policy of drone-strikes (implicitly suggesting that to oppose the President's expansion of drone strikes is to therefore not be in rejection of the evil of those attacks), would be a misuse of the anniversary. I say that as a proponent of blowing jihiadi's up wher'er they may be. It is very easy to talk blandly about "and we should all renew our commitment to making sure that we do what we can to let them serve as a reminder of the importance of keeping children safe" yada, etc. so on and so forth without trying to turn it to the President's preferred gun policies.

:( They made me hug my kids alot, about around when that happened.

The best description I have heard of being a parent is that it is like ripping out little sections of your heart, and letting them run around in the big wide world.

Pretty much yes. That single incident, one year ago, should be put into some perspective - such as Chicago experiences that many shot and killed nearly every month. Focus on the class of victims (as you did, BTW), and shear number in one case, deflects attention in such a way that "normal" crime is no longer a presidential (or media) concern.

There's plenty of stuff you can legitimately criticize the guy for. Talking about the one-year anniversary of Newtown is not one of them.

He said the same **** last year, like a broken record. Except Americans dont want gun control, and nothing the left has proposed would have stopped Newtown. This is a losing issue for the left so expect NO legislation regarding it-especially after the historic plummet in approval they are experiencing right now.

He knows this. You know this. Its a transparent attempt to distract attention and energize his base-but as noted-we see right through it.

So you see, he's not above criticism-in fact that very premise was what got him this far at the American peoples expense. :roll:

Define, precisely, for us who was the "dangerous person" involved in the Sandy Hook shooting and how we would have identified that person (or persons). Assuming that you will say Adam Lanza, then please tell us, precisely, how you would deny him getting his hands on guns "so easily" - realizing that required killing someone to get the guns.

What did he say? :) Stop sliding around dude, just answer for once.

How about he talk about his failing Obamacare. Millions of Americans get to spend the holidays worried about losing, or having lost insurance, and those that still have it are worried about the increasing costs and his broken promises. How about he start there?
