This is a classic example of what happens to a campaign that has no core message and no core beliefs. They begin chasing the news cycle. This has been going on since March or April it seems like. Every time the news cycle starts to go against Romney, which has been almost every day now, they come up with a new "ourtrageous" video or clip or take some words out of context from a speech. They try to "pounce" on this new narrative to change the new reporting. In this case it was that Romney lost control of his debate expectations. It stopped being about how good a debater Obama was and started being about how Romney must completely destroy Obama in order to regain traction in the campaign. With that narrative Romney was sure to come in under expectations and therefore "lose" the debate and by extrapolation the election. Therefore they needed to change the news cycle. However if the campaign had a coherent message with a core set of beliefs this would not be required. They could just continue repeating their message and not worry about the news cycle. But alas, it is impossible to have coherent message with core beliefs if the candidate is incoherent and has no core beliefs (at least politically speaking).
I'm sure you are an authority on 20 years of Rev Wright... and not just the clips Fox showed you. lol
I'm also pretty sure you don't know a damn thing about who Derrick Bell is.
Yeah.. following your own link,
YEAs 11
NAYs 79
Surprise Surprise... there's more to it than the simple mindedness you are fronting it as.
Lord knows the democrats NEVER EVER EVER in a million years jump on anything like say "the 47%" because their guy has such a noble, coherent message and core belief system. I mean it would be beyond belief if they ran ads focused on something as reactionary as that, but wait.....they DO!!!! Obama must not have a coherent message or any core beliefs..... you said so yourself.
This is what you don't seem to understand. From the very beginning of the campaign the President's campaign proposed the narrative that Romney was a defender of the rich and elite. That he was born wealthy and maintained his wealth through somewhat shady business practices that were detrimental to the working class. That he and his party have predisposition against the poor and working classes in America. I don't want to get into a debate on whether or not that argument has merit but that is the narrative the President's campaign has been pushing even before Romney was the nominee. The 47% video fed into that narrative it didn't change it. Romney message has been muddled and confused since March. He is not settled on a coherent message or a coherent narrative for his campaign. This isn't just liberals saying this but many conservatives. He has constantly chased the news cycle since March. This is just another example of it. Now I go a step further and propose a reason, admittedly biased, as to why the Romney campaign cannot settle on narrative. But the fact that his campaign does not have a coherent message cannot seriously be debated at this point.
No! A president that says one thing then the opposite the next week that sounds like.... every candidate in the last 5 presidential elections.........
Thank you Mr. glass half empty. I am continually amazed that almost total contempt and cynicism can be pawned off as a political position, aka libertarianism.
Hilarious projection. Look at who voted for it. You make my case for me.
All Conservative Republicans
Don't look now but Obama's Kenyan birth certificate is under your bed!
Who voted no?
Every Democrat including Barack Obama. Look at the date of the vote:
May 15, 2007, 02:23 PM
The date of Obama's Speech in the DC video is June 2007 in which he claims that the Bush led WH was racist against African Americans because they "withheld" funds to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. He's a demagogue. He's lying to the African Americans in his audience and stirring racial fears and hatred. He knowingly lied while at the same time voting against these same Hurricane Katrina victims from getting Federal Government Assistance. Obama is comparing 9/11 to a natural disaster and telling African Americans Bush doesn't like them. It's radical racist stuff you would normally hear from Reverend Wright's pulpit, not someone claiming to be a serious candidate for President of The United States.
This is the man sold to the American People in 2008. The name of his "speech on race" was a "more perfect union":
Obama Speech: 'A More Perfect Union' - YouTube
Then we have the "real Obama" off the teleprompter lying and dividing people with fear and racism. The fact of the matter is 110B in relief efforts were set aside for victims of Katrina:

Do we have a "more perfect union" after 4 years under Obama?
So. Basically, don't point out that Obama makes the exact same idiotic fake responses that continually contradict one another because he is simply lying through his teeth. Or that Romney is doing the exact same thing, because it makes me a Mr. Glass half empty. Sweet, also thanks for summing up an entire political party with you sentence, that was nice. Here let me try.
Thank you Mr. glass always full. I am continually amazed at how little connection to the real world liberals have, not understanding human nature, and not wanting to work but have everything handed to them can be pawned off as a political position. aka Liberals.
You see, anyone can group a bunch of people in a sentence and make it sound like they are all worthless.
I didn't say libertarians were worthless...just complete an utter cynics. Cynics have their uses. They are just not much fun at cocktail parties. Cynics are also next to impossible to have a meaningful debate with. They continually point out the most glaring flaws of anything or anyone. Again while this can be a useful exercise in striving for improvement it is not very pratical. If everything and everyone is effed up then nothing and no one is effed up.
As far as glaring generalities goes...every politician is a liar is pretty glaring one.
Newspapers' daily circulation:
1. WSJ - 2,118,315
2. USA Today - 1,817,446
Fox News boast ratings that are more than the other 24 hour news networks combined.
The right needs to find a new whipping boy beyond "oh the MSM is holding us down" cry. It's tired and the boy who cried wolf syndrome is killing any belief in it the more that victim card gets played.
Also saying that "we got fox and everything else is leftist"... doesn't fly either.
You don't sit in Reverend Wright's Church for 20 years and use your Justice Department to let the New Black Panther Party off free after intimidating voters at the polls if you are not a racist
You don't implore people to "embrace the teachings of Derrick Bell" if you are not a racist
Here's more bitter irony. Turns out Obama voted NO on a bill that would "prioritize Federal spending to ensure the needs of Louisiana residents who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina and Rita are met before spending money to design or construct a nonessential visitors center."
U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote
I'm sure you are an authority on 20 years of Rev Wright... and not just the clips Fox showed you. lol
I'm also pretty sure you don't know a damn thing about who Derrick Bell is.
Loved the accent. Sounded like a real-live field hand.
I waiting for him to start gee'n and haw'n. :rofl
Of course not, because it's your guy we're talking about now!
LMAO
LMMFAO - the video has been on YouTube for 5 ****ing years.
Holy **** this reeks of more GOP desperation... to a new level. An old video came up on Romney regarding his 47% speech... you can just tell that the GOP party crew got together in a room after this came out to pull a damage control brainstorm and came up with... "Let's find an old video on OBAMA!!!11111!!!!"
It's so damn obvious. And hilarious.
Substantively there wasn't much there that wasn't already known.
As for New Orleans: "We as black people, it's time, it's time for us to come together. It's time for us to rebuild a New Orleans, the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans. And I don't care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day."
Drudge Report: Fox News Will Air ‘Obama’s Other Race Speech’ Tonight | TheBlaze.com
Fox News’ Sean Hannity said during his radio show Tuesday the “bombshell” video from 2007 will air on “Hannity” tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
–
The Drudge Report, and Matt Drudge personally, are promoting the release of a six-year-old video that will supposedly spark controversy and “ignite accusations of racism — in both directions.”
According to Drudge’s personal Twitter account, there is currently an “internal debate” happening at an unidentified news network over whether to air the video tonight, the eve of the first presidential debate....
I don't know what this is about, but I'm gonna bet Hannity is gonna have record ratings tonight.
Yeah that's right a "chocolate New Orleans" not an "all American New Orleans". Obama is a racist of the worst kind.
He would be if he was the one who said it.
But this is what he did say:
Now, I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts what role race played in that, but I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry. Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. And that's just a fact
Why would Obama make a comment like that not knowing or seeing all the facts yet he brings up race. Why did he say “not seeing all the facts what role race played in that”. He said it because he knew it was a white officer who arrested his buddy. Now you think for a minute if a black officer made the arrest Obama would have said that.
Of course in Obama’s mind knowing the officer was white said the “Cambridge police acted stupidly”
As I said he knew the officer was white and Obama makes this remark “what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately”.
The only reason Obama made those comments was he knew the officer was white. If the officer was black Obama would not have said “not seeing all the facts what role race played in that” then he goes on to say without knowing all the facts except he knew the officer was white he says “Cambridge police acted stupidly” then last he gives us a lecture on race. Again he would not have done that if he knew the officer was black. Further by giving us a lecture on race he himself felt because the officer was white he must have been a racist. By Obama inferring he was a racist is the only reason he arrested his buddy. His whole career he’s surrounded himself with racist and the last of which is Van Jones. Obama is a racist.
Yep, Obama is a racist
