Obamacare Enrollment for Uninsured Is Low, Survey Shows

Perhaps some of them are still on mom and dads policies and are actually clueless about the damage obamacare is doing.

Perhaps. Its elucidating how they seem indifferent to the fall out from the policies they alone forced on America. Its about how it makes them feel-and facts dont really feel good right now.

First off, you have to draw some distinctions.
Some get their information from sources on one end of the political spectrum or, god forbid, from some whacked out poster on sites like DP (I won't name names but you know who they are).
Others ARE the sources on one end of the spectrum ... they know it's wrong and don't care because ideologically it's the end result that counts and it's the strategy to get there.

Good points. However, when you see the different views, they are usually opposite each other. Some feel a big government that controls everything is the best way to go, while others believe that States' rights trump what goes on in DC. I think what it all boils down to is a clear indication of how one feels about our Constitution and Bill of Rights. It didn't used to be that the people in DC were more concerned about their Party than the people they represent - they compromised on things in those days! I'm curious to see what effect the next few years may have if the Republicans are returned to power - like what happened in 2010. Obama himself called it a "shellacking." Will we hear the howls of outrage if we do exactly what is being done now? Time will tell....

If the Pubs do come back to power I wonder if they'll have the cubes to get rid of O'care.
As for the Constitution/BofR, they are viewed as a blueprint of Liberty by some and as roadblock for Government to bypass. Tough to compromise when the distinction is that stark.

It moved us toward a solution to a very serious problem.

Yes it has moved us to higher taxes, higher premiums, higher deductibles, people losing their insurance they liked, losing their Dr. etc etc. Yep it made a problem into a serious problem.

Of course they do. They move us in the right direction.

No, they dont. Its part of the pathos of the left to feel they have the right to impose on everyone else, for their little schemes. Those schemes are rarely voluntary, and rarely successful.

This is what the left does.

In liberal logic, if life is unfair then the answer is to turn more tax money over to politicians, to spend in ways that will increase their chances of getting reelected.

Without knowing what kind of coverage you had and now have, I can't say. Post the details.

I was happy with the Blue Cross policy I had with all the coverage I wanted or needed. It had a $250 per month premium and a $1200.00 deductible. I supplemented that with a Health savings account. As for what I have now.....I refused the obamacare approved policy with it's 300% premium increase and 500% deductible increase. I moved into VA Healthcare.

Uses the VA

Majority rules. If the left have identified a problem, proposed a solution, convinced everyone else the problem exists and solution is appropriate then everything is OK. That's the way democracies work.

No...actually it moved us much further away. Obamacare is not a solution. It is the utter destruction of the American Healthcare system.

The American health care system was a disaster before PPACA. It cost too much, served too few and delivered poor outcomes. No matter what shortcomings and failings PPACA may have, for millions of Americans it is much better than the alternative. For many of the rest, it makes no difference. The only ones opposing it are misfits and malcontents and we never can please them.

Did the PPACA coverages compare favorably with the BC policy you had? Were they more or less extensive?

Majority rules?? What majority? That core group of Democrats in D.C. who had to twist the arms and bribe their fellow Democrats in Congress in order to shove something down the throats of the American people...who didn't want the stupid thing? That's OKAY?? That's the way you think democracies should work??

God, please protect us from people like you!!

In 2012 more voters voted for Democrats for the House than voted for Republicans.

Senate Republicans mostly represent states with small populations.

In a very real sense, Republicans in Congress represent a minority opinion.

OK.

What's your point.

The ACA was supposed to make healthcare affordable for all people, not just those who need hardworking Americans to take care of them via entitlements.

Nothing is affordable unless it can be paid for by individuals. If the taxpayers were forced to buy me a Lamborghini, and the cost of the Lamborghini is the same as it was before the taxpayers were forced to buy it for me, it's not "affordable". It's an entitlement to me paid for by others.

Oh...now you want to talk about 2012? Could it be that you don't want to talk about the despicable actions of your fellow liberals? The actions you support?
