Obamacare Already Killing Jobs, Screwing Employees

But repealing Obamacare IS the Number One thing Congress could do to promote employment.

LOL Not only is that not true but the time wasted on bills with no chance of passing the Senate is criminal. Both branches are supposed to work together to prevent that stupidity.

Yup. And if we were to pass the ACA again, why we'd create another 400,000 jobs. Who knew it would be so easy?
You wanna create a few jobs? Raise taxes on the wealthy like that good ol' boy Bill Clinton did. 'Course he only created 22,000,000

Obamacare has no political legitimacy. It is the duty of the GOP to win the next two elects so that we can rid the country of it.

Why don't you just go ahead and rid the country of the 45,000,000 who have no insurance?
America has turned into a place which doesn't even resemble what it was in the 60's-70's. Republicans have an agenda. They want to do away with any kind of government funded programs so the wealthiest among us can have it all. Someone would have to be blind not to see it.

This would be the clinton who lowered capital gains tax rates?

In 1997 he did. Cut it from 28% to 20%. Reagan however cut regular income tax down from 50% down to 28% and RAISED capital gains from 20% to 28% in 1986. I'll vouche for Reagan on this because it basically said all income was taxed equally. When they are considered different forms of income and assessed different tax rates, it simply becomes a massive tax dodge for the rich.

Obamacare is a terrible, indefensible piece of legislation, no matter what the intentions of its creators.

What parts of it are flawed then? What part of obama are you objecting to? What is the problem

Goodness. Where to start.

1. The hubris that a handful of folks in Washington DC can effectively design a healthcare system for hundreds of millions of individual cases that will respond more effectively and with greater results than each of those individuals seeking out plans, policies, and procedures that best meets their own needs.

2. The doubling down on a third-party payment system which has resulted in wild price inflation and which now, matched instead with government price controls, seems designed to produce artificial shortages.

3. The combination of guaranteed issuance with community rating and an ineffective enforcement mechanism which creates a massive tragedy of the commons in which it is in no one's interest who is healthy to get health insurance, but everyone's interest who already has a preexisting condition to do so.

4. Subsidies which seem destined to rapidly balloon and capsize the nations' fisc.

5. Employer mandates which increase both un and under employment by making Americans more expensive to hire and more difficult to keep.

6. A massive increase in the regulatory burden on American business which has the same effect on our industry that the mandate has on individual employment (harder to start, more difficult to keep)

..... So many to choose from...

But having the Senate pass an immigration bill that has no chance of passing the House.... that's different, right?

Yes, where to start? Let's just say it's going to cost trillions of dollars, will run the cost curve up, not down, and is so complicated that the scheme is falling apart before it's even put into effect.
