maybe nobody counted any ballots and they just picked the 'final numbers' out of thin air to keep their guy in powerI'm not saying you're wrong--but there are still a lot of questions on the 'stolen election' theory. 66% - 33%, if true, we're talking about pretty ballsy ballot stuffing here. If there was only a few areas were the voting process was corrupted, then that's still a pretty big margin.
Information is still pretty limited, the accusation has been made without much proof or testimony. Until we know for sure if the election was a sham and exactly how this was accomplished, then we must reserve our final judgement, if you will.
Exactly what could Obama say that wouldn't make things worse for Mousawi?

It's a sham. You can bet on it.Each of these two tests provides strong evidence that the numbers released by Iran's Ministry of the Interior were manipulated. But taken together, they leave very little room for reasonable doubt. The probability that a fair election would produce both too few non-adjacent digits and the suspicious deviations in last-digit frequencies described earlier is less than .005. In other words, a bet that the numbers are clean is a one in two-hundred long shot.
The time for hedging and apologizing is over. The Iranian election was a fraud.
There were 95%+ voter turnouts in over 200 districts. It's a farce.

What the US should do:So what exactly should US and the West do? Invade and put in our democracy? ... we did a bang up job in Iraq and Afghanistan.
No, this is something for Iranians to deal with. We cannot do more than what is happening now.
In the event of the use of force and in case of armed conflict, it is not permissible to kill non-belligerents such as old men, women and children. The wounded and the sick shall have the right to medical treatment; and prisoners of war shall have the right to be fed, sheltered and clothed. It is prohibited to mutilate dead bodies.
Every human being is entitled to inviolability and the protection of his good name and honour during his life and after his death. The state and society shall protect his remains and burial place.
Human beings are born free, and no one has the right to enslave, humiliate, oppress or exploit them, and there can be no subjugation but to God the Most-High.

What the US should do:
- State publicly the right of the Iranian people to be governed by Shari’ah.
- State publicly the election was tainted.
- State publicly that the actions of the Islamic Republic violate the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam, specifically:
- Article 3a:
- Article 4:
- Article 5a:
- Ask for the OIC to publicly reaffirm the importance and relevance of the Cairo Declaration upon the affairs of its member nations.
- Call for new elections, with monitors from Organisation of the Islamic Conference to ensure an untainted outcome.
It would not be necessary at all. Earlier Presidents have said at least as much now and again.Won't it be necessary for Congress to change the title of President of the USA to Imperial Ruler of Earth first?
Won't it be necessary for Congress to change the title of President of the USA to Imperial Ruler of Earth first?
That's a start -- as more information hopefully comes to light we can get a better idea about what actually happened on election day.

Yes Channel 4 news was saying tonight that there were more votes than people eligible to vote. They also had a film of somebody completing vote after vote after vote. But there still is no concrete proof.
alright all of the above have been addressed by othersWon't it be necessary for Congress to change the title of President of the USA to Imperial Ruler of Earth first?
/thread :applaudThe Iranian Ministry of Interior has admitted that more votes were cast than voters in 50 districts:
