Obama Blew It: Duplicating The Mistakes of George W

So this is your blog?

This does not belong here, but while we wait for the mods to move it to the proper forum, we can still discuss it.

The OP is correct, of course. Obama promised change, and as soon as he was elected, broke that promise.

I think he's brought about change and it's exactly the change he promised. Everyone that was paying attention knew that the change he wanted to shower us with wasn't going to do the country any good.

Yeh he is blowing it for the opposite reason suggested by the article.

I totally disagree with the article which argues that Obama is like George W. - uncompromising, listening to extremists, driving a wedge. Nothing could be further from the truth. To the chagrin of the progressive wing, he continued an interventionist foreign policy, he continued the Paulsen/ Bush bank bailout, listens to Wall Street insiders for policy advise, he chose not to pursue prosecution of Bush torture enablers and his idea of health care reform began by rejecting the single-payer option and seeking compromises with industry/Republicans. "Compromising": that is his middle name!
