Robert Redford, Tom Hanks, Ellen Degeneres, Bruce Springsteen, Robert DeNiro, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Lorne Michaels, Diana Ross are just some of the celebrity luminaries whom Obama will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom for their incredible contribution to America. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest peacetime award that can be given to a recipient:

It occurs to me that this VIP love-fest now sets the stage for some to eventually return their awards at some later point, in protest against some policy or incident under the Tyranny Of EvilPresidentTrump™

21 awards = 21 middle finger opportunities against EvilPresidentTrump™

I think when we read his memoirs we will see that this sort of thing is what he loved about the job, this is why he got out of bed in the morning. Much more cool than that all that WORK, and all the working with others...like EWW!

The PMOF hasbeen given to a variety of celebs since the 1960s, and right-wingers never disappoint in their petty whining about a purely ceremonial award.

Being on of the highest honors that a civilian can get it is anything but ceremonial.
Why is he not honoring people that actually do things?

Danny Kaye wasn't any political activist - it's not like he was a Republican fund-raiser like Bob Hope.

All these people that Obama has awarded have been political partisans working for his partisan agenda.

I'm surprised he didn't give a Presidential Medal of Freedom to Miley Cyrus or Cher. They must feel miffed.
