(CNSNews.com) - The Obama administration gave corporate giant General Electric—the parent company of NBC--$24.9 million in grants from the $787-billion economic “stimulus” law President Barack Obama signed in February 2009, according to records posted by the administration at Recovery.gov.
Despite getting $24.9 million from U.S. taxpayers, GE decreased its U.S.-based employees by 18,000 in 2009, according to the company’s 2009 annual report.

If this were a republican doing this the outrage level, and rhetoric from the left would be deafening. Where are the libs on this?

Actually, republicans have. Go back in the past and look at GM getting money for a jobs program in which they laid off workers. But, let me ask, did Obama do this? Was he the one signing off? How were people picked to get stimulus money. I think a lot more has to be shown before this has legs. Perhaps that is why there is a lack of sound sources on this. You think?

Ok, getting tired of your dismissal of sources. Please lay out all "sound" sources by name if you would so that we know what you will accept as news.
Because I am getting the feeling that you just don't accept anything that doesn't agree with you.

Dude, GE is in nearly every aspect of the economy in one way or another. I can't imagine a scenerio where a stimulus was passed and GE didn't get some portion of the money.Ok, getting tired of your dismissal of sources. Maybe since they quote a RECOVERY.GOV spokeswoman?Since when is CNSnews.com a primary source of news and not partisan?
GE was the primary recipient of 14 stimulus grants, a spokeswoman for Recovery.gov confirmed to CNSNews.com. These 14 grants provided GE with $24.9 million in tax dollars. On four additional stimulus grants, the primary recipient of the federal money hired GE as a contractor. Recovery.gov is the administration’s website that tracks stimulus expenditures.

How can liberals be so blind to the corruption going on with GE, bend over MSNBC,NBC and Obama?
Oct 11, 2010 ... No conflict of interest since the CEO of GE, Jeff Immelt, sits as a Obama economic adviser. Nothing to see here folks. Move along. ...

How come regressives never denounce the corruption in the military appropriations and oil industries?

There is corruption in the military and oil industry.
Consider it denounced.
Next straw man please.
The real question is why are you complaining about this when so far I haven't seen any evidence that the money was spent on anything wasteful. Find something that shows that they were given way too much money for the work they actually did. Find anything that actually seems inappropriate.
So far your only reason to be upset is that the second largest corporation in the world, that has their hands in nearly every cranny of our economy, actually did work for money from the stimululus.
More whining about nothing. This is just as useless as the "so and so dressed up like a nazi" crap.

Actually, I asked a question. Can you answer it? As for sources, why won't you use a valid source?
ding ding ding. We have a winner.
What sources are acceptable, by name please.
j-mac
I accept a lot of sources that don't agree with me, but picking clearly dubious sources isn't a good tactic. However, despite the source, I asked a question. When do you think it will be answered?
We can start with the OP.....
Hmmmm...I could be wrong, and you would have to show me where, but didn't Barry say that the Stimulus would save jobs?
