Of the 759,218 illegal-border crossers living in the Big Apple the feds were aware of as of Nov. 17, a jaw-dropping 58,626 — 7.7% — were either previously convicted of crimes or had criminal charges pending, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency data.

And of the 58,626 migrants with rap sheets, 1,053, nearly 2%, are “suspected or known gang members,” according to the agency.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) pointed blame for the stunning stats at soft-on-crime and lax border-control policies pushed by President Biden and other Democrats.

“It’s shocking that Democrats have gone so far out of their way to harbor gang members, drug traffickers and other criminals who are in our country illegally,” said Malliotakis, the lone Republican representing the left-leaning Big Apple.

I have zero sympathy for New Yorkers. They voted for the libs and their sanctuary cities, so they reap what they sow.

"Oh, but we didn't know", "How were we supposed to know", "But Twump", the usual cascade of BS excuses coming and then some. If people haven't realized by now, these looney's do not represent the People of America by now, there's simply no help for them.

They have been "actively" destroying literally everything America stands for....our economy, our borders, national security, even into our culture. Bought and paid for, they have turned against their own constituents.

Yeah, Pelosi's famous excuse, lol. Maybe they're in need of another race of people they can use and abuse.....who knows? Bottom line with an excuse or not, they're not working for the American people.

Why is the FBI’s 2018 crime data from other cities important?

Are you trying to make the (whataboutism?) point that if the violent crime rate is (or was) higher in other cities then more ‘newcomers’ in NYC isn’t a problem in NYC?

Denver is another sanctuary city and a recent study found they spent $356,000,000 last year on illegals - roughly $7,900 per - of the legal taxpayer's hard-earned money.

Denver has seen an unprecedented influx of migrants arrive in the city under the Biden-Harris administration and Johnston has already slashed city services to house and feed those migrants.​
Cuts included reducing services at recreation centers and stopping the planting of spring flower beds, while the city tapped into a contingency fund to pay for the spiraling costs. ​

This leftism/progressivism/marxism needs to stop - and soon. Maybe when Homan steps in and arrests Denver's marxist mayor Johnston things will improve. But he's just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately.

Um, so because these ~50,000 criminals haven’t vaulted NYC to the top of the crime charts it’s not a problem?

Denver’s mayor is on record asserting he will break the law defending these migrants from deportation, so I think he can be fairly labeled a crime boss.

It begs the question - is that all these marxists think of the illegals they're trying to illegally flood our country with, as fruit and vegetable pickers, or hammer wielders? They should perhaps elevate their altruism a tad and include maids and housekeepers and dishwashers - for goodness knows, the elite left certainly can't live without that sort of help.

They're going to have to close off streets, the influx of expectant Coloradans wanting to watch his arrest will be that huge.
