Heck, they can't hardly keep people from smuggling in bottles of liquor at the gate, they are going to check medical records now too.

We have already done this, rather successfully here in NY. The Net's use this system at present and we used it at the Buffalo home games in the NFL.

I think we will see more and more businesses requiring proof of vaccine, especially large venues and in the travel and leisure industries. Get used to the vax requirements, it's an idea whose time has come.
Oh, by the way, there is nothing that requires any state to stick with paper cards either.
As I alluded to earlier in another thread, this administration's been in office for less than 1500 hours...they got shots into arms and they're going to worry about vax cards later.
Your card has your name and birthdate on it, so if they decide to up the ante on vax cards, and you show up in their database as having been vaxxed, you will receive something more sophisticated. If there's an issue, they may test you to see if you have the vaccine in your system, and THEN issue something more substantial. Right now in the last 1440 hours they've managed to beat the 100 million shots in 100 days deadline, so don't be surprised if they manage to pull another rabbit out of their hat as vax requirements become a trend.

It may wind up as a QR code, or an imprint stamped into your state ID or driver's license or something you keep on your phone.
There's a lot of ways proof can be upgraded and made secure.

Silly "feels good" rules in most cases. All can be faked information.

I repeat: I am not against vaccination, I believe in them, not just for this; I am not arguing not to get vaccinated.

But there are some loons out there who will not get vaccinated, there always are. I'm not defending them, I'm just acknowledging that they exist. And despite some here suggesting that they are all "right wing"---well that just isn't even true. There are for example plenty in the Black community who don't trust vaccines, and they are not right wing. Another liberal a few pages back here said no way they are getting anything injected into them.

Now if we are talking about an instant test to screen people or no entry, that is one thing. But be advised, those aren't 100% accurate either. So, then what is left is some kind of documentation to be inspected, and those are easily faked and unrealiable at best. And who is going to be checking those at the ball park gate? The same people who check you bag for contraband beer and beach balls? Hate to point this out, but those people are generally 3 steps down from a TSA drone, and one step up from a Walmart greeter.

Yankees would be better served to use their platform, and their celebrity/athlete voices to do PSAs and get the message out to people about why they should be vaccinated.

Also, what is going to happen when some paid ticket holder shows up at the entrance gate with their ticket and some handwritten pharmacy vaccination card, that some half witted security guard at the gate doesn't like, or doesn't understand--- or any other problem. And are they going to deny entry then?

We don't have national ID cards, most states couldn't even get the Real ID law identification that the FAA has required correct inside of 2 years time. Some state IDs are still not acceptable on domestic flights; I have to continue to carry a passport.

There is no evidence that woman in Utah died from the vaccination. On occasion people die for other reasons. In her case she had a sudden onset of acute liver failure; there are many reasons that might happen. Acetaminophen overdose is a common one. Had a coworker's wife die from acute liver failure a few days after a botox treatment. Many reasons for acute liver failure.

The Utah state medical examiner's office just yesterday said that there have be NO covid vaccine related deaths. They haven't said why that specific woman died, citing privacy rules. But they said nobody has died from the vaccine, so that woman died of something else obviously.
