You're absolutely right for once.
It never happened.
There were a few stories in Newsweek, but it wasnt 'all the climate scientists' by any stretch.
In fact, climate science already knew about the CO2 effect long before the 70s. It even made TV!
Sixty years later, the theory has been pretty much proven, with temperatures well above those of the 50s.

Even so, the maturity of the present knowledge of the climate, the present level of maturity of the theories, and the present level of the maturity of the models do not add up to reliable enough data to make life altering decisions on, at this point in time. Which was my main point anyway.
Get a few predictions correct, and then we'll talk more.
And you have a better system?
This one has seemed to work fairly well for a century. Do you have problems with the peer review system in biology? Chemistry? Medicine? Any other discipline?
To further illustrate the laughability of this comment, I'll note that we have not had a SINGLE MONTH that has been below the 1880-present AVERAGE since 1984. Thats somewhere about 350 months straight. So just having this November being below average would be remarkable, much less a month that is the 'coldest on record'.
If you’re younger than 28, you’ve never experienced a month of below average global temperature – Quartz
Gill is apparently 'destroying' people very, very incompetently. But its a great source of laughs.
Not even close to reality. Competition is steep for grant money, and peer review isn't a cakewalk.
One more time: I KNOW.
Reread what I posted a few more times, maybe you'll get it.
Why is your answer that I must develop a system for egg head, knuckle heads that sit around all day thinking up ****? You are the one that tried to trot out peer review as a debate stifle, and I showed you that peer review today has been corrupted, deal with it.
Depends on the data set.
By the way, did I claim it was a record cold month globally ???
Oh. We are discussing global warming, not your wife. Or living room, or whatever you were referring to.
OK, done with you.
If you decide to discuss this like an adult, maybe we can continue.
Adios.
Can't refute the evidence? Just handwave it all away!
I accept your admission that you were wrong.
Not sure what more you want. 30 years ago the prediction was that the world would be hotter then ever recorded about now.
It is.
Nailed it.
Yeah, right. Yesterday I predicted the sun will rise today. Yee haww! I nailed it.
A simple 'no' would have sufficed.
I have a problem with the peer review system as it is today, it is corrupted...But what I was answering is the stupid assertion that I must come up with a better system...That is the old "unqualified" argument, and is just not valid.
100 year old cold records were broken this year...and it's the hottest year on record? :lamo
And I predict that you will dismiss any information that does not coincide with your predetermined conclusion.
Because arctic ice predictions were laid quite accurate.

It's only hilarious if you are bad at math.
It's even more hilarious that you're bad with facts. oh, yeah...:lamo
You're the guy who thinks it's somehow ridiculous to see cold temperature records exist in the hottest year on record.
Honestly, if I have to explain to you why both of those things can happen in the same year, let me know. I'll help you out.
Record breaking cold temperatures.
No, no need to explain. What I would like to know is, what's going to be the new name of the hoax? Y'all had to ditch global warming and start using climate change. What's the new name going to be, when climate change is worn out?
You really do think that's contradictory, don't you? You think a record breaking cold temperature means this can't possibly be the warmest year on record.
Yeah, and all the polar bears should have drowned by now.
