So Trump lied when he said he would bring down grocery prices?First of all, it's obvious that you are math challenged. I mean, I'm not a math whiz, but even I can see that half of 73% is not equal to half of 100%.
Anyway, farmers are just going to figure out how to make up the loss of 36% of their labor force. I have no sympathy for them, since they've been breaking the law for decaded.
those pictures pf kids in cages were from the Obama adm. But there is a terrible mismanagement between ICE and HHS on Unaccompanied children ( US).. It's complicated do im not going to redact. read if if you are interestedAnd when Trump kidnaps all the migrants, separates kids from their families like last time and causes unneeded misery? I guess when those strawberries go unpicked and rot in farmer's fields those billionaires infesting the Trump administration will pat each-other on their acne'd backs for jobs well done.
First, Trump'll need to make Tom Homan go silently into that good night of silence. One reasonable explanation is that there will be no mass deporations. Donald will make a show of one or two raids to give MAGAs the tingles and then wave something shiny at them to make them forget he ever promised it.
Migrant competition beginning during the 1950s pretty much did away with poor Black and White farm labor. Google "Harvest of Shame" to see who mostly worked the fields in the good old bad days./sarcasm
No need to worry about the undocumented farm workers. There are plenty of Trump supporters just waiting to fill in. After all we have been told by Trump that the illegals have taken away jobs meant for Americans.
MAGA
Did our resident genius in the Whitehouse as of tomorrow even think of this when he's vowed to deport all undocumented people? Damn will we be able to by chickens and eggs even if we can afford them? How about other farm products?
73% of US farm labor are migrants. The USDA estimates that half are undocumented. Given the significance, why is this overlooked by conservative rural America?
So are Trump supporters going to go work the farms once the deportation begins?Migrant competition beginning during the 1950s pretty much did away with poor Black and White farm labor. Google "Harvest of Shame" to see who mostly worked the fields in the good old bad days.
No they will rant about the 'deep state' causing the price hikes/ inflation cycle to make Trumps tariffs and deportations look bad.So are Trump supporters going to go work the farms once the deportation begins?
Yep, that's the lie the Trump cult thinks we're all going to buy.those pictures pf kids in cages were from the Obama adm.
I'm interested in actual immigration reform. The Trump cult claims they are but secretly love to see the chaos at the border because since the first Trump administration its those visuals and lies about "terrorist caravans from the south" that keep their voters loyal. But there is a terrible mismanagement between ICE and HHS on Unaccompanied children ( US).. It's complicated do im not going to redact. read if if you are interested
Still a big chunk that would have disastrous a effect on crop harvesting and food prices don't you think? No kidding half of all U.S. farm workers are undocumented
Hmm… half of the 73% of US farm workers who are ‘undocumented’ immigrants is 36.5% (of total US farm workers), which is significantly less than half (50%). BTW, I’ve seen links which say up to 42% of US agricultural workers are ‘undocumented’ immigrants.
What a stupid post.Looks like a great place to send unemployment recipients. If they refuse, cut of their checks and let them starve.
If you are referring to the Trump voters that will be laid off when we go into another recession thanks to Trump absolutely!Looks like a great place to send unemployment recipients. If they refuse, cut of their checks and let them starve.
I suppose so. Why not?So are Trump supporters going to go work the farms once the deportation begins?
Do you really think that undocumented workers are being paid $7.25? Who are they going to complain to if he shorts their check? It's rather an 'own goal' considering how red rural America votes. Like many other things in life, the farmers will each be thinking - ''kick out all those dirty illegal migrants that Trump told us about, but just not MY illegal migrants that I need so I can get my crops worked for $7.25/hr".
No.So are Trump supporters going to go work the farms once the deportation begins?
Don't have any data to work from, so just suggested the already miserable Fed min wage as a number. There must be a $ low point where even illegal migrants can't survive? Even if you do 50 hours per week, $7.25/hr is only $362.50/wk. Food, phone, transport, accommodation?? Just hope like hell you never get sick. Realistically, how much lower could that get and be something you can live on without govt support?Do you really think that undocumented workers are being paid $7.25? Who are they going to complain to if he shorts their check?
I live in farm country and many get about $5.00 per hour in cash that isn't reported. Many live in community property or live in a bus, almost like slaves.Don't have any data to work from, so just suggested the already miserable Fed min wage as a number. My bad. I didn't do that intentionally.
Highly doubtful. How many Trump supporters have complained they can't get work in the fields because of the "illegal" farm workers?I suppose so. Why not?
No.
Trump supporters already have jobs, but there's going to be a lot of unemployed government workers pretty soon.
Highly doubtful. How many Trump supporters have complained they can't get work in the fields because of the "illegal" farm workers?
