Nihilists a/k/a "Climate Activists" derail U.S. Tennis Open

Total days over 90° in a month or season are better indicators, and those are also essentially trendless.
Yes but back in the day when these records were set who was actually doing that kind of daily recording and collation ?

I'd seriously doubt anyone was, given there was no lucrative political agenda riding on it like there is today

Stopping Tennis to Call Attention to Climate Change

The above article (link in text shows that "climate activists" will stop at nothing to disrupt and derail society. The "activists" glued themselves to the stadium, endangering themselves, others and law enforcement. The event that was disrupted was the Women's Semifinals. Wimbledon was similarly disrupted, as has bridge traffic.

When will society stand up for itself?

Meanwhile, the semi-finals and finals have been played in hot weather, which some news sources claim is unprecedented for New York. Not so fast. On Sunday, September 11, 1983 is was 99° on the day of the Men's Finals in New York City. I can't recall whether it was 1985 or 1989, but similar, not quite as severe conditions prevailed. This is not at all new or unprecedented.
Calling a climate activist a "nihilist" is particularly hilarious.

...do you think this can't be retroactively determined? LOL

How do you verify if the tree rings or ice cores are telling what really happened?

Scientists do. They have done much research in that regard. Can you show otherwise.

...tree rings and ice cores aren't daily temperature records, what are you talking about?

Were the scientists there, in Central Park, on August 10, 5724 BCE?
Oh, I see. You think these records mean "in the entire history of the earth."

Let me help your confusion: this is specifically regarding the instrumental temperature record.

Also, why do you believe in a cycle of ice ages? Were you there for the last one?

Pure nonsense. Maybe if the compression happened all at once but over 150 years - not so much. Some of that heat continues off into space, of course.
...the **** are you talking about? They aren't talking about compression as the source of heating.

1.2C average temperature increase is a very large amount of energy. This can't be put any simpler to you.

What a truly stupid question. See post #57.
So I'm just supposed to trust them? I am not some Labrador Retriever puppy picked up from a breeder who has to trust the person who calls himself "mater."

My original comment stands. 1.2C is barely detectible; Your home thermostat has a bigger bandwidth.

You still don’t understand that it is 1.2C in a the HUGE area of the atmosphere and, yes, that makes a difference.

Can you point to the actual differences it actually made, given a very stable temperature growth of about .15C/decade?

Calculate the number of joules required to heat the entire atmosphere by this amount.

You’re not worth our time when you can’t or won’t even recognize basic science.

Why, data shows that heating, as I've said, since 1850 has been about 0.15C/decade. That number is based on actual records not pseudo-science.

How much is that over the length of 17 decades?
