I thought that you make it to a number of Islander games each year. That parking arrangement is sweet. Good for you.

You know if I do it, I’ll be sure to check in with you while planning my trip. This year would have been perfect since it’s a Saturday (NYI), Monday (NYR), and Wednesday (NJD) schedule.

Do they have the trains running all the way to UBS yet? I know they didn’t when it first opened.

I know there's a station. My daughter had to pick up Ledeky there once. Ranger tickets at MSG will be tough. No idea about the prudential center. With stub hub and the like and enough money you can get tickets. I tried to see about getting tickets for the Isles in Montreal once. Forget about it.
 
That’s brilliant! I kind of needed a good laugh and that photo sure did the trick, Hari. The Leafs and their fans are the gift that keeps on giving. MLSE prints money in Toronto, but they can’t manage to build a championship roster.

I’m here to watch them continue to fail.

What is wrong with the zebras this year? The MIN/CGY game the other day had some of the worst officiating I've ever seen. Ever. Goaltender leaves the crease to play the puck behind the net, loses it to a Wild player, Minnie gets called for goaltender interference by the ref at center ice when his partner standing right there called nothing.

And then there was this complete and total horseshit no-call and call:


Hartman takes multiple cross checks with a ref staring right at it (same ref who called the interference from a hundred feet away, BTW) and nothing is called. Matt Boldy steps in to stop the cross-checking because the ref is to much of a (crooked?) piece of shit to do anything, and he gets called for roughing????

Too much of this going on this year. Utter crap game.

That was a weak officiating crew in the first place. I’ve seen those refs before in other games, and they stunk then, too.

Hard to have any sympathy for Minnesota, though. Ryan Hartman is no angel. They also have Marcus Foligno, who is a cheap moron. Also, their schedule has been pretty weak so far.

I think he's gotten a reputation that he should have shed by now but it haunts him. There was a game maybe three weeks ago where the announcers noted someone on the dot was getting replaced, and Hartzy was being admonished. He wasn't on the faceoff. It's a bit of a running gag in our house. Something happens, anything, and we assume Hartman will get at least a minor. Defender fell over? Two minutes. Wild scored? Hartzy to the box. But regardless of what you think of him there's no excuse for letting those crosschecks slide. None. And, in the vein of "it's Hartman's fault," had the roles been reversed, there's zero chance that goes uncalled, strong likelihood of a double minor/major, and an ejection/fine is not implausible.

I will defend Moose until he retires and beyond. Nicest professional athlete I've ever met. Good leader on the ice and will scrap when he thinks it'll help the team.

Hawks fire Luke Richardson. Luke's a nice guy, but it needed to be done. I give him credit improving the defense, but everything else has faltered despite KD providing a better-on-paper roster this year to work with. We can't have Bedard regressing during his sophomore here. His development is priority #1. Hopefully Sorenson will help get the team back on track. They are not a playoff team but they need to show improvement from last season.
 
The Stars are such a weird team this year. Nearly unbeatable at home but mediocre on the road.
 
This is the worst year in forever for the Rangers. Getting rid of Trouba was a start. They have to ditch the Iranian loser next. Then basically the rest of them.

The Rangers first mistake was hiring Chris Drury as their GM. It’s almost as though they have no long term plan. They just go day-to-day and wing it as they go.

I had to laugh once again when Pavel Buchnevich opened the scoring last night for St. Louis. Bet Ranger fans still hate that trade.

Trouba was always overrated to me. Why the Rangers traded for him, then went so far as to give him a fat contract and the “C” on top of it was just stupid. He wasn’t worth that in Winnipeg, let alone in New York.

I do not know if I have ever seen such a clear cut 5 and a game penalty. He took several strides at a player with his back to him, boarded him and drove an elbow into his head. He should get a suspension for that, but DPS is so weird...

The kid has all the size and enough skill to be an effective player in the NHL. But I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone with as empty of a head as Rempe has. Zero hockey sense. He just doesn’t get it.

He was offered an in-person hearing from Player Safety, which means a north of 5 game suspension.
