NFL Offseason News 2021

Tim Tebow is a bad ambassador for Christians. I don't think Jesus would approve of quitting like Tebow has done so many times.
But he would forgive him.

Neither did Logan Thomas.

Logan Thomas is 29-years old. It took him 4 years to have a breakout season.

Tebow will be 34-years old at the beginning of the season. He couldn't catch fly balls which is easier than catching a football. He will fail because he sucks.

And? The Jags won't have lost anything if he doesn't make the 53 man roster.

They have lost credibility as a football organization.

Clearly, they are not trying to build a winning football team. These kinds of signings don't help you win.

Right now I have Tebow number 4 behind Kelce, Kittle and Waller. I couldn’t quite get him in the top 3.

Tim Tebow is a polarizing figure who will divide the locker room.

Urban Meyer hired a racist coach and that hiring showed he likely will fail in the NFL:

The Fritz Pollard Alliance issued a strongly worded statement Friday titled "A Failure of Leadership by The Jacksonville Jaguars" in response to the team's decision to hire former Iowa strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle as its director of sports performance.

Doyle worked under Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz for 20 years, but parted ways with the Hawkeyes in June of last year after numerous former players spoke out against the assistant, alleging racism and bullying.
The statement from the Fritz Pollard Alliance, a foundation with the purpose of championing diversity within the NFL, came a day after Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer defended the hire and offered sharp criticism of Meyer's choice while pointing to it as a reason for the NFL's lack of diversity within its coaching ranks.

"At a time when the NFL has failed to solve its problem with racial hiring practices, it is simply unacceptable to welcome Chris Doyle into the ranks of NFL coaches," Fritz Pollard Alliance executive director Rod Graves wrote in the statement. "Doyle's departure from the University of Iowa reflected a tenure riddled with poor judgment and mistreatment of Black players. His conduct should be as disqualifying for the NFL as it was for University of Iowa. Urban Meyer's statement, 'I've known Chris for close to 20 years', reflects the good ol'boy network that is precisely the reason there is such a disparity in employment opportunities for Black coaches."

The NFL and the Jaguars currently have not responded to a request for comment.

In defending the hire Thursday, Meyer pointed to the many years he's known Doyle and his efforts to "thoroughly" vet Doyle before hiring him. Meyer added he was "very confident" there would be no issues with Doyle in Jacksonville.

would it put Christian and young people in the seats?
after all, it is entertainment that is being sold

Tebow will likely make the team, not due to performance but due to his relationship with Urban Meyer.

It will divide the locker room. Tebow is a polarizing figure. He did it with the Jets. The former Jets GM said the Tebow signing brought more scrutiny to the organization than when they brought in Brett Favre.

Imagine being a player on the Jaguars making the minimum or being a backup. Meanwhile, this Tebow Character is getting playing time/national media attention. Tebow isn't even a full-time football player. He moonlights as a college football analyst on ESPN.

And people are claiming Tebow will bring leadership on the Jaguars and be a mentor to Trevor Lawrence?

WTF????

Right now I have Tebow number 4 behind Kelce, Kittle and Waller. I couldn’t quite get him in the top 3.

Tebow supporters are on the same level as Trump supporters. They are truly nuts.

If Trevor Lawrence has a couple of bad games, these crazies will come to the stadium demanding Tebow be given a chance at the starting job.... yes, they are that nuts.

Trump supporters believe Trump is still the president. Trump supporters believe there was widespread election fraud. Facts and evidence clearly show none of this is true.

Tebow supporters are in the same sphere of thinking. They think their messiah is still a starting caliber QB, not only that, they think in the right offense he is a pro bowl QB.

The Jaguars brought in the clownshow. They will regret this signing.

We'll see how it pans out, but I'll give Meyer the benefit of the doubt for now.

RIP Colt Brennan, one of the great QBs to come out of Hawaii.

Packers sign their fourth QB

Looks like they know Aaron is leaving.

I hate to say this as a Bronco fan but I think Rogers is gonna stay with GB. This is my guaranteed prediction from the guy who correctly predicted Trey Lance would be the SF pick. I don’t ever get these things wrong once that feeling hits. Justin Fields better end up sucking or Im gonna be pissed.

The deal will get done as early as this week. Rogers will be the highest paid QB. Denver will be like a Lamborghini driven by an old lady.

It still may depend on how committed Rodgers is to not playing in Green Bay. I doubt this is a money deal and honestly if it turns out that a huge contract is enough to keep him on board and happy he will really have shamed himself. (And OK...maybe with all those millions he will be able to handle the shame).

This has allegedly not been about the money but rather the continued disrespect in not consulting him on draft picks and the lack of willingness to go after talent to help win a Superbowl. As it is now they have 1 top tier wide rcvr, 1 mid tier TE and 1 mid tier running back. They didnt get better on offense while all the other contenders were adding weapons.

He’d be a fan favorite. He wouldn’t be a bad emergency QB. Line him up in the backfield inside the five. It would give the D something else to think about. He may be a good TE. It doesn’t hurt to have God on your side.
Tim Tebow will not be a QB in Jacksonville if he does sign with the team. Urban Meyer would have tried him out at QB if that was what he wanted.

Christians will not come to see Tim Tebow play. They will come to see the Jaguars play. They will not root for him. They will root for them.

Good point. He'll get flattened the first practice and quit.
What makes you think that? Read the training camp practice rules in the current CBA. Also, do you have any idea how big and durable Tim Tebow is?

It's funny that players thank Jesus when they do well but never blame Jesus when they don't.
If you don't do well, it is your fault. Christians know Jesus resisted temptation many times, and does only what his Father tells him to do, so he cannot be blamed for any sinner's mistakes.

The Packers know they need competition for the third string QB job behind Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love. They also know the roster has 90 players until September, and whoever loses out will be cut. Rodgers will not be traded.

I think Green Bay's theory is that they don't need to invest in offensive talent because they have Rogers. They've spent their time focused on upgrading the defense. They could have stayed where they were and drafted Tee Higgins in 2020 instead of moving up for Love. I heard they tried to move up to get a WR but couldn't make it happen.

Aaron Jones is more than a mid tier running back. He's a stud actually!
