I noticed in the article that "....the two discussed the procedures needed under state law to cast the electoral votes, with DeGraffenreid writing that “facts and legalities don’t matter – only what you can burn someone with.” We'd also need the context of this statement.

Of course, it's likely that Chesebro was operating at Trump's instruction because in Trumpworld, Trump's finger is in very pie. Proving that connection exposes Trump to 18 U.S.C. § 371 -- Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States. Five years prison max.

I'm really interested in seeing all of the evidence for this because we heard about what allegedly happened, but the paper trail will be really fascinating. The call made to Raffensperger was already pretty bad, but emails telling people how to become fake electors will provide some insight into that broader goal of trying to deny the democratic process.

My understanding is the immunity wasn't offered and accepted it was stipulated by Smith. This way they cannot take the 5th. So it doesn't sound as if their cooperation is willful but rather forced.
