New York Appeals Court Won't Allow Gay Marriage



Well, its all good and well that you think that, but the fact of the matter is, that's what the government in its current incarnation does.

And if I were to be one to place blame for such things (perish the thought!), I'd place it equally on the far left and the far right who have made it nothing more than their duty to regulate the lives of others for the past few hundred years.

But all this aside, the fact is that the gov does and can regulate these matters, and with that as a precedent, is completely within its scope to do what it does now.

ummmm your arguments are getting ridiculous. Give me one GOOD reason as to why homosexuals should not be afforded the same rights as heterosexuals in regards to marriage. Otherwise, good day. I have better things to do than to waste my time on petty semantics.
 
These elected officials are a pain in the a.s.s. and thier interpetation of the law is wrong. They are off base and shouldn't be making decisions.:spank:

Uh....they're not elected officials.

And they aren't making decisions, they're leaving those decisions up to the actual elected officials.

Another great argument! WOW - AGAIN! You're comparing a child molester's abnormality to a Gay person? Shame on all of you for hating your fellow man simply due to his life partner preference.
 
I personally think the main sex act that gay males engage in is abnormal and disgusting.........Without being to graphic the anus was designed as and out take not and in take..........If people thought a little more about what comes out that end they might hesitate in putting their penis in there.....If straights engage in anal intercourse it is abnormal for them to........

That said I could care less what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms............I don't want to know about it................
 

And this has what to do with gay marriage?

I don't see anywhere where gays are trying to legalize forcing you to watch their sex acts.

All I wrote is that your opinions are abnormal. You wrote that being Gay is abnormal. Both are opinions.

I don't know if you're abnormal or not nor do I care. I do care when someone purposefully deprives other Americans their civil rights or anyone who supports people who deprive basic rights. I do care when someone writes posts that I think are homophobic and what I consider to be evil and unfair.

I think being homophobic is abnormal.

I think being for taking away Americans civil rights abnormal.

I think watching NPR is abnormal too....

If you disagree then you probably think my opinions are abnormal.

I am of the opinion that if someone here believes that Gay people should not be married to each other and therefore deprived of the same rights as heterosexuals than I consider that an ABNORMAL opinion. Since you have stated over and over again your utter abhorance for anything Gay and that you support not allowing Gay people to marry each other and that you think they're freaks I consider that an abnormal opinion...

First it is not about "them", the individual. Just as gay marriage is not about "my" marriage particularly, it is about society in whole. I it is about we as a people, as beings, as members of the genus and species homo sapien. And it is in that sense that homosexuality is abnormal.

It is not how we are designed physically or socically and I would assert emotionally. Our children are designed to be raised by a mother and father. Each having particular and imperitive part in the upbringing of children of our spiecies.

THAT is where my side comes from, not from "homophobia" which is the phoney arguement
the other side makes when it can't make rational arguements.

And what exactly is your point here, anyway? Please don't tell me that this is your argument against homosexuals being afforded the same rights as the rest of us.

There is no right to marry based on what kind of sex you prefer. We as a society having witnesses our evolution and looking toward the continuence and success of decided that it is not in the best interest of society to support anything other than male/female marriage. We don't deny same sex relationships, but it is not in our interest to support them through a lincense to be married. And the fact is your side has yet to make a compelling arguement to change that.

I responded to Kelzie saying she had never heard the rational arguement from my side. I gave it to her stating that she probably would not agree. Clearly you do not either, but those are the reasons and they are very logical and rational. In fact more so than those given in rebuttle. And THAT is why the majority of people in our society oppose changing marriage to include homosexual marriages. Not homophobia or any of the other bogus reasons your side tends to put out as you can read here in this thread.

Why do I even bother with you..............I did not say that being gay was abnormal, I send the main sex act that gays and straights engage in is I believe abnormal and I beleive most Americans agree with me..................You really need to read the posts before you go off half cocked........
 

I summed up several arguments of yours that are not rational - the main ones being that the more children a relationship produces the better, that same sex marriage is the same as same sex couples raising children, and that same sex couples are somehow depriving kids of a heterosexual household.
