When is Hillary Clinton going to hold that long-awaited news conference — the first of 2016? Whenever she feels like it.
This has always been true, of course. The media can't force her into one. But the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign hasn't been quite so blunt about it.
Until now.

"We'll have a press conference when we want to have a press conference," Clinton pollster Joel Benenson said on ABC News on Thursday evening.
Hillary Clinton should come out of hiding and meet the press | Fresno Bee
Hillary plays hide ‘n’ seek with press: Come out, come out, wherever you are!
So where is Hillary? The press is remarking on how easy it is to get unscripted time with Trump and impossible to get any time with Hillary yet her campaign staff complains to the press that Trump gets free publicity.

Her numbers are dropping fast. Using the RCP average in the 4 way race her points have dropped from 6.4 to 3.2 in three weeks.

Her campaign schedule is virtually non existent, except for fund raisers. The press isn't allowed access to fund raisers.

Is she sick? Is she hiding from the hard questions about her emails? Does she have confidence that Trump will screw up bad enough that she is the de facto winner of the election? That would be a real risky assumption. Does she think she really is the chosen?

Damned if I can figure it out.

You do realize I hope that there is a large, significant, unsubtle difference between a press conference, and meeting with the press, something Clinton does almost daily. Her campaign schedule is busy in fact, though not planned far in advance, just as Trump's schedule is. This is the most retarded talking point you guys have come up with yet(and this is about the 5th thread today on it).

Busy in the Hamptons hanging out with the elites. Must be so hard.

Actually stuff scheduled every day for most of the week, and more will be added. I know, damn facts getting in the way of your talking point...

Which was last week, is part of campaigning, and does not change her busy schedule. Damn that Clinton for doing the work to win!

The utter gall of that woman. How dare she run for president when conservatives don't like her! That BITCH.

Is it bad to keep out of the limelight, when you are ahead and everyone is interested in your crimes you cannot disprove and not your policies that are known and not that great? If she had charisma like Bill's was, it would be a different story. But as it is, she is probably best she stay mumm.

She doesn't meet with the press daily. She does scripted appearances. That is hugely different as you point out. It seems she can make time for the ultrarich but not the press.

And while Mrs. Clinton has faced criticism for her failure to hold a news conference for months, she has fielded hundreds of questions from the ultrarich in places like the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Beverly Hills and Silicon Valley.
The public has gotten used to seeing Mrs. Clinton’s carefully choreographed appearances and her somewhat halting speeches and TV interviews over the course of the long — and sometimes seemingly joyless — campaign, but donors this summer have glimpsed an entirely different person.
